You wander through the fire forest, unsure of where exactly you are or are meant to be. It's been a long and treacherous journey. You have been without food and water for days. Just when it seems things couldn't get any worse, you stumble upon what appears to be a graveyard. Bones of all kinds lie scattered ungracefully around the area. They crunch beneath your feet. Who could possibly live here?
"So, you made it out alive, did you?"
The imperial from the start of this maze emerges, waltzing towards you with a bored look on his face.
"A shame, really. I was hoping for a bit more fun." He almost seems to be... pouting?
"All well. I suppose you've endured enough. You've proven you are brave enough to survive our clan, and for that, I must reward you."
The imperial stands before you now, staring into your eyes, his own glowing with passion. He lifts one claw, a puff of smoke appearing before dissolving to reveal a small gift between his nails. Mortem drops the item at your feet, a sly grin growing on his face as he whispers two words.
"Now run."

Mortem is considered the only real outsider amongst the clan, a group of misfits all in their own ways, and thus, rumors follow him relentlessly. No one knows where he came from or when he arrived; only that death is never far behind. His eyes change color; they appear pink, disguised in the safety of the Arcane flight, but the moment he is provoked, they melt to the vibrant red that signifies his Plague allegiance.
