You enter a laboratory, clearly well-taken care of, but no less creepy. A large cauldron is placed in the center of the room, bubbling away and glowing bright green, the only source of light in the room. The floor is made of stone, cracks in the tiles the only indication that the lab is older than appears. The walls are lined with tables and shelves, numerous ingredients staring back at you (quite literally, in some cases): podid claws, chimera fangs, squirrel skulls. It's chilling to see so many animal parts. Perhaps you'll be next.
The unpleasant scratching sound of nails on tile resonates from the back of the lab. A pearlcatcher emerges, his face obscured from view behind a metal mask. He approaches the stranger. He appears wary, but curious none the less.
"Another patient? You don't have plague, do you?"
He squints apprehensively, scans the dragon before him, and, seeming satisfied, relaxes and opens to a more welcoming stance.
"You look well enough. Why are you here?"
You tell him the truth of your adventure, leaving out no details from your previous encounter with Mortem.
"Ah, trick-or-treating. Child's play. I'll indulge you this once, but I won't be bothered further."
He crosses to one of the tables, grabbing two test tubes from the many present.
"Drink one, but be careful which you choose. You never know what could happen with strange potions."

Pestilence is a doctor for Elwyn's clan, specializing in research for plague treatments and cures. He became a doctor after he was diagnosed with a rare and incurable form of the plague known as desolation plague. The disease, fortunately, is not transmittable from dragon to dragon and can only be contracted from a (now extinct) bacteria. Since then, he's become the wise old man who lives in the outskirts of town, always working away at another potion or contraption.
