Having been stolen by a beastclan as an egg (and having later been abandoned by the same beastclan in a frantic flight from an angry mother imperial), Serania grew up alone, learning the way of the world the hard way - fighting predators, scavenging/stealing food, and the like activities. Serania wanted to do all she could to keep other dragons from having the same life she did, so she wandered until she found a clan willing to accept her. Eventually, she discovered the Flickering Shadows clan and joined them immediately, especially upon learning they needed a healer desperately - the perfect job for Serania, since she'd picked up the trade on her way. She has become a welcome member of the clan, and is always willing to give her very scales to help others. Regardless how long she's now been exposed to "proper" dragon behavior, Serania still carries some odd habits that she'd learned in her travels - such as going extra lengths to keep her back to an object when possible, or how she's extremely possessive of her food. On a related note, because she did not grow up around dragons, Serania is not capable of speaking any language (dragon or otherwise), though she knows and understands a few important words and terms, such as "hurt" and "help", while also lacking a lot of body language.
