Biography
Siridia
General Helper
(Aids any who need assistance for the day) "When Rome's in ruins We are the lions Free of the coliseums In poisoned places We are anti-venom We're the beginning of the end!" -"Young Volcanoes", by Fall Out Boy ______Siridia is a compassionate individual, having joined the clan in its very beginning to help Obsidian and Raspberry keep everything running. She is a jack of many trades, helping out her clanmates however she can every day (generally choosing one dragon to primarily help for each day), but she does have one job completely her own - teaching (and reteaching, as the case may be) flight. Siridia, though she enjoys her odd jobs, she considers teaching her younger (and injured) clanmates to fly as her passion - she is endlessly patient with her students, trying her best to give each individual the tips and other help that they need. By being so vital to the education of young dragons, Siridia has formed close bonds with almost every dragon in the clan, her constant, friendly presence being an anchor for them. ______Despite the fact that her teaching is mostly centered on hatchlings, Siridia considers her greatest achievement to be teaching and re-teaching Kurimu to fly. Kurimu, being much younger than Siridia, is one of the hatchlings she has taught to fly - he was magnificent in the air, outshining his peers with boundless skill. However, into his adult years, Kurimu was attacked by some harpies around the edge of the Flickering Shadows clan's territory. The harpies attacked viciously, tearing his wings and forcing him to limp home once he'd fallen and gotten far enough into the denser forest to escape them. Having no family in the clan, Kurimu had gone to Siridia immediately after getting his wounds treated and dropping his letters off to their owners. Upon inspecting his wings, Siridia came to a grim conclusion - he'd almost certainly never fly again. However, she chose to keep that assessment to herself, and instead simply told Kurimu that he'd have to work hard to be able to do anything more than glide. ______So Kurimu did - he practiced every day that he could, stretching his wings and trying to fly as high as he could without stopping or falling. It took about a year and a half, but under Siridia's instruction, he did it. Though his past prowess at flight acrobatics had been lost, Kurimu could sustain flight once more, only slightly slower/more poorly than the average dragon. Siridia, having not expected him to reach even this level of ability again, was ecstatic and extremely proud of Kurimu. |
