______ |
Killer or Healer,
you belong to both and neither, unable to choose a destiny that matches you true. A kiss could ignite or save, a touch caress or distress, fate with you a Russian roulette. Enticing One, what will you be today: Salvation's Angel or Perdition's Demon? {Dragon Poetry by mercurialwings} Mixtures, tinctures, poultices, and more, a master of combinations and changes. Subtle persuading and event weaving, all for the goal of poisonous curing. A bit sly, but never with malcontent, do not tempt this avatar or prepare to regret. {Dragon Poetry by mercurialwings} |
Tempt me with you vitality,
let it caress my ever living-dying flesh... Permit me a moment to tastefully assess, your pain caused by unhealthy duress... {Dragon Poetry by mercurialwings} |

The dosage makes it either a poison or a remedy."

B I O G R A P H Y
______ You do not recall why you were headed to the Slipsteppe Ravine. The mountains rose high in jagged peaks and the gorge carved deep into the land’s flesh. Though the sun shone brightly from above, the features of the environment was just a scratch of everything as the rest was immersed in mist. You follow the winding path, avoiding pitfalls where you could and rerouting to the best of your ability till you arrived at mouth of a cave.
______ The entrance’s maw felt foreboding as it stretched far above you, the tunnel wound deep into the mountain and lead you to a spacious cavern. Lights shimmered faintly and danced languidly near the ceiling, their source unknown. You marvel at the cavern formations as you walk towards the glowing lake in the center, clear and calm like glass, before a voice rumbled and startled you out of your reverie, “Why does a human come into my realm?”
______ Your silence to the question must have amused her laughter purred thunderously, resonating deeply in your bones. A long and large silhouette rose in the distance and padded gracefully to the opposite side of the pond from you. As she neared, a wave of power washed over you. She was an imperial unlike any that you have seen in the books or wilds before. Her six eyes regarded you silently before stretching out at the lake’s edge, her arms folded with one paw touching barely touching the water. “Did you come here to sate your curiosity? Did the townsmen fill your head up with stories of treasure to be had?”
______ You shake your head with difficulty after realizing that you could not summon your own voice. She tilted her head and dipped her paw into the lake, the water changing color to a rusty red and spreading out towards your side. “You may as well leave for I have nothing of material value. My…gifts lie in other realms.”
______ Without warning, she was sudden beside you in a human form, a fierce looking woman but otherwise ordinary looking. As she circled you, she inhaled the air around you, testing you, reading you. “You seek a cure. For an ailment devastating an entire country. What is your payment for such a rare thing for I do not work for free.”
______ When you relay to her the reward being amassed for her, she waves a hand dismissively. “I care not for riches or treasures. Now rare herbs, minerals, chemicals, on the other hand, are far more valuable to me. If you can secure me this…list.” A scroll materialized before you, held sealed by a simple red ribbon. “I will only take living samples for my collection. The amounts are listed therein. Return with it all, then you will have a deal.”
______ The leader of country you petitioned for was not pleased at news, but sent out a country wide edict with the list attached. While time was not on their side with more and more falling ill or succumbing to the disease, they surprised you by being able to obtain every item. Everything was loaded onto several caravans that followed you to the location that had been indicated. Upon arrival, which so happened to be the evening of a full blue moon, at this scenically different location, you sent the caravan drivers back while rallying yourself mentally for your meeting. However, before you could, she arrived.
______ At first she was just a long shadow in the mist, but then all of it coalesced into her true form, the Imperial form. She circled around you and the caravans, silent despite her size. Her honeyed laughter resonated deeply as she settled, her claws flexed repeatedly and turned the soil beneath them, before addressing you.
