Kohi

Name Meaning: Kohi is Japanese for coffee, inspired by his coloration. (コーヒー)
Role: Nurse/Medic
Personality: ISFJ. Kohi very much lives in a world of his own, and can often be found sitting around just thinking.

Other: Although Kohi was born as quite a normal hatchling, his eyesight rapidly degenerated. Within a few days he was completely blind. Despite being blind, he is very good at getting around and is one of the fastest dragons in the clan. To "see" he reads the magical energies in the air- He's become quite good at it. He usually wears a hood over his head
to hide his eyes,as they are clouded over by blindness.



Angel’s Blindness: The disease can be transmitted between all dragons, but especially affects young hatchlings. An adult dragon will often only get a burning sensation in their eyes, a minor cough, and temporary rashes. However, hatchlings that are affected have a much greater risk of more extreme symptoms, due to thier weaker immune system. In extreme cases, this can lead to permanent blindness and markings. The disease is mainly transmitted through the cough, and while it's highly contagious, the period of time that a dragon is contagious only lasts a short amount of time. An expirimental cure has been developed recently, but it's success rate is not perfect, and it will not help previous victims.

Kohi was born a perfectly healthy hatchling, the son of the clan leaders. That was why it was such a mystery when, within days, he had lost his eyesight completely. Of all of the dragons troubled by this strange development, the least of all was Kohi himself. He continued to play and run, and he seemed to be particularly interested in the art of helping others. While the medics took gentle care of their patients, Kohi was there too, standing in the corner. He seemed to be watching their every move, his sightless eyes fluttering between one dragon and the next. Nobody quite understood how he did this, only that he could. Whispers went around that he had been touched by the Windsinger himself, sacrificing his eyes to truly see. Despite being young, he was treated with an air of reverence. As he came of age, to the surprise of no one, he was employed as a novice healer; he could pinpoint the problems exactly, and quickly find the solution. Each dragon had a unique aura around them, which shifted and changed slightly with their emotions. When a dragon was wounded, the energies around that area could be nearly overwhelming, and he learned quickly that each injury had a slightly different calling card. He was fast, thorough, and incredibly precise, as well as surprisingly good at comforting his patients. Kohi had known what he was meant to do ever since the very first time he had gone to the medics, and he was going to continue. This was his life, using his special set of skills to help others.
