Klotho

"Where to begin," the Spiral mutters to herself, staring into a mirror in her lair. Her mismatched eyes are unfocused, gazing without seeing as she runs a snake through her claws. The snake flicks out its tongue, testing the air and then focuses on the mirror.

The previously dark surface has lightened and come into sharp focus; it now reflects the visage of a young Pearlcatcher stumbling through the woods.

Klotho's eyes snap to the mirror, her mismatched gaze sharpening as she focuses upon the dragon. "Ah, yes," she hisses, a smirk dancing across her lips. "He craves death, my pet." Her claws flick out, placing the snake next to the mirror. It begins to circle the glass, bright tongue darting out to touch the silver rim.

Klotho regards it momentarily and then a cruel smirk begins to form. "Not an easy death I see." She lowers her head until one eye stares straight into the mirror. "Let's see what Tanda makes of you."

She opens her mouth and breathes on the glass. A rune glows a sickly green and then disappears. Klotho's smile widens and her eyes unfocus again as she goes back to the threads of life, looking for the next victim.
