Biography

Hatched from a mysterious egg in the dead of winter, Copper began life in Stovokor's lair:
The very first of 36 young dragons in a mass hatch.

For the next 20 minutes, Copper was subject to several scries in which various users visualized different breeds and genes on him. Then, the second hatchling—a shadow/caribbean/mist guardian—was hatched, and Copper was set on the shelf to wait for the sales to begin.

Almost two hours later, after the 14th of 36 dragons had been hatched, Mayanaz spoke up and placed dibs on Copper.

When sales finally rolled around, she purchased him for 200g, then changed his breed to Coatl and gened him with Starmap/Bee/Glimmer while he was still a hatchling. Almost a month later, she offered him in a Dress My Dragon contest. That was where I, Sylvereon, first saw him.

Exactly 1 year after the Dress My Dragon contest was held, Mayanaz still found herself struggling to grow attached to him, so she offered him in a mass-purge of her lair. For somewhere between 2 and 3kg, Copper made his way into Decres' lair. (Lino, at the time of happening.)

As all this was going on, I had disappeared from Flight Rising. My return was sometime in late May of 2020, and I found this curious outfit saved in my Dressing Room. Tracing all the way back to Copper wasn't too hard, and when I saw that he was for sale, my hopes rose. This dragon was so pretty....

But his price on AH was 6kg, more money than I had ever even fathomed possessing at one time. In desperation, I contacted Decres asking if I could trade for Copper, but Decres replied saying that she didn't take trades—only treasure or gems. She offered to lower the price to 5kg, and my resolve was steeled.

A friend of mine, Knosis, introduced me to a Flight Rising group. There, I met many people who had become close friends, and with their help and a lot of saving, I made it to 5kg a little over two months later. Not a single USD was spent thanks to the wonderful support of Knosis, AstralWitch, and others who have rented nests from me and added to the hoard of gems I had collected.

In the end, the biggest chunk of gems came from Knosis, who saw the remaining 1,650g I needed and gifted it to me. On July 21, 2020, I sent a Crossroads trade to Decres and received Copper in exchange.
