Biography
 Atira the Honorable Leader Atira is the progenitor and leader of the Diamond Lotus clan. To most members of the clan, she is this noble, strong and honorable leader, who leads her clan with an iron grip, demanding order and loyalty from those who have chosen to follow her. She is extremely loyal to Earthshaker, whom she has found to be her Charge. She has sworn to protect his realm and serve him in any way she possibly can until the end of her days, and she takes this oath very seriously. |

Even though everyone in her clan respects Atira and her decisions, many think that she's a little cold towards her children, since she has sent nearly all of them to serve the Earthshaker. This choice might also have something to do with her own history, since Atira never knew her parents and was raised to serve the Earthshaker. All of her children however share at least a little of their mother's passion to serve the same cause, so most of them are actually more than willing to leave the clan in order to serve for a higher cause. Since she is the leader of the clan, she needs to keep her image as so too. She won't let it show, but she actually feels sad whenever her children leave the clan, and she often misses them. |
Atira's parents were part of a two-parted clan that consisted mostly of guardians and snappers: Adult guardians served the Earthshaker and secured the realm's borders, while hatchlings and younger guardians were left with the traveling group of snappers that taught them history and survival skills they needed in order to join the adult guardians. Like many others in her clan, she was also left as an egg with the snappers to grow and learn, without never knowing her parents.
Her early years went by learning history and honing her battle skills. She was obedient, and she never questioned any orders from her superiors. However, as the time went by and she grew to adolescence, her heart felt restless. Her Charge was calling her. Somewhere.
One faithful day, when their clan's snapper group along with Atira were moving to a better place closer to the realm's borders, they encountered the mighty Earthshaker himself. He was huge, and his steps shook the ground as he walked past them. Their clan bowed before him, noting him with a simple "sire". Atira's pulse rose and she couldn't help herself but to look up to his sire straight to the eye, as Earthshaker walked past her. As her clan's superiors gave her angry hisses to lower her head and bow, Earthshaker gave her an encouraging smile and a little bow. Her heart skipped a beat when the mighty Earthshaker, father of all Earth dragons open his mouth and said:
"You'll grow up to be a fine warrior someday, as your heart is true to yourself and shows no fear."
Atira couldn't get a word from her mouth. Her heart raced, and her whole body was shaking like a leaf, but not out of fear: Out of determination. She held her head high, as she finally managed to get the words "thank you sire" out of her mouth. Earthshaker gave her a slight nod as a goodbye, and continued on his way towards the Pillar of the World.
"I'll hope to see you again someday", he said as their ways parted.
After Earthshaker's silhouette had disappeared to the horizon, all Atira's superiors gave her a big lecture about her being disrespectful and a disobedient disgrace to their clan. But Atira didn't listen. Her heart had settled and she knew exactly what to do. She had found her Charge. She would dedicate her life to serve the Earthshaker and protect his realm at any cost.
But not in this clan, but in her own.

Aragonite, mate Atira and Aragonite first got to know to each other purely via business. Atira needed weapons and armor for the clan's hunters and warriors, so she naturally approached Aragonite, who's the master blacksmith in their clan. She eventually found herself spending more and more time by the forge, even without any official business to tend to. She just... Found this masculine and tough blacksmith to be very attractive, and she sincerely enjoyed his company and personality... And Aragonite enjoyed hers. One evening, when Atira was visiting Aragonite by his forge, he asked her to assist him with one special piece of work he had to do. The atmosphere between them got quite hot, while they were forging metals. They had fun, and by the time they finished their work it was already night. Aragonite knelt before her putting in front of her the two beautiful pendants they just forged together: one made of gold and onyx and the other from platinum and diamond. He looked her in the eyes and said: "You are my precious diamond, my one and only who I treasure, tougher than any metal, harder than any steel, shining through any darkness... And I shall be your sharpest sword and hardest armor, always by your side, to serve and protect, if you so desire." Atira was speechless, and a certain uneasiness filled the air. "Uh... Sorry... I... I thought..." Aragonite startled and was about to stand up, when Atira knelt down before him, lowering her head, and said: "I will be yours from this day, to the end of my days." Aragonite smiled in relief, and he put the diamond pendant around her neck, and Atira put the onyx pendant around his. |

Titan, firstborn son Even though Atira loves all of her children, Titan will always hold a special place in her heart as her firstborn. However, Titan's softness and gentle non-violent nature often gets them to arguments, since Atira would hope her son to be more strict and tough than he wants to be. Atira thinks that if he's too soft towards others, they might see him too weak to be fit as their leader, which is the position he'll be taking after Atira becomes too old to lead her clan. Maybe this bothers her so much because his softness reminds her of his father. Atira ordered Titan to be part of Diamond Lotus' hunting group so that he could grow stronger and be tougher, and most importantly learn how to defend himself and others by tooth and claw, because his mother might not be able to save him from death twice... |

Cloudjumper, former mate Atira always saw Cloudjumper to be way too timid and weak in order to lead the clan as equals, but she wanted to give him a chance and let him stay by her side for quite some time. However, no matter how much she tried to get things to work between them, she just couldn't stand by a male weaker than her, and eventually moved on with another mate. Since then Cloudjumper have changed quite a bit, and nowadays he has gotten an apology from Atira, who now sees that this timid little scout has grown into a fine and tough warrior, despite her rough and cold rejection. Even though Atira slightly regrets it, she's way too proud to return to him, and they both know that. |
