Biography

As you look around, past Kerwynn and Snowshake, you see the walls are lined with books. They are tucked away in crannies in the walls next to candles dripping wax. These books look old and priceless, some newer with leather cases. Scrolls are neatly piled on racks. There is a loud sound clattering nails on stone as you turn. A massive golden Imperial bursts in through the front of the cave with his claws full of scrolls and scraps of parchment. ”Surexe,” he roars. ”Help me date these!” He tries as elegantly as he can to place the objects on a low table, but everything spills all over the floor. You reach forward to try to help but he growls, ”stop! You’ll damage them.” You quickly draw back. Seeing your haste, Aureum apologises quickly. ”Sorry. These are new from gathering and we have no idea how fragile they are.” Kerwynn quickly flits to his shoulder and peers over all the items as he carefully picks everything up and arranges them systematically on the table. ”I’ll go get Surexe,” she says and glides away. Aureum is a scholar who was raised in a large clan in the Labyrinth. He had access to a great variety of books in the clan’s library but left his clan when he was old enough to seek out further education in history and genetics. While studying at a university in the Arcane Territories, he met his husband Surexe. They were fascinated by each other and found that they were a perfect fit for each other. Both of their passions were history and Surexe was deeply intrigued by Aureum’s studies. Aureum graduated with a thesis on gene inheritance and the origin of certain genes with family lines. With their education complete, both dragons wanted to find a peaceful place where they could store the knowledge of Sornieth. They found a perfect place with the dragons of the Wildsong clan. Now trusted members of the clan, they work with Kerwynn to maintain the library. |
