A starchild in the strictest sense, born from the stars and the moon and given breath and shape by the Arcanist, Antares is the head and undisputed leader of the clan. Originally something far more beautiful and ethereal, Antares had lost his ability to travel in space and commute with his astral brothers and sisters when he was bound into a body of flesh, but his very soul can still hear his brethren’s songs calling for him.

But this is not to say that Antares mourns his loss - he has willingly come to Sornieth to learn and represent the Sky, its knowledge and wisdom, sacrificing his original memories and feelings in order to do so. His heritage grants him a powerful ability to read the signs in the sky, allowing him to decipher the most challenging mysteries and dream about the farthest reaches of the universe. In the vast horizons of his mind, he races through space and time, collecting whispers of truth and proclaimations of fate alike, sleeping among galaxies and nebulae.

Antares is not simply a seer - he sees everything from the grandest plans of the gods to the most routine and mundane of matters, allowing him to protect and aid everyone in his clan. He is also well-respected for his knowledge in alchemy, which has allowed him to enhance his prophetic dreams, serve his clan, and make up for his lack of more flashy magical abilities. Not one to value fame or glory, he provides his services out of a great respect for life and the mortal dragons on Sornieth, and finds comfort in his work, taking solace in how others have flourished in his presence. He documents everything he discovers in order to save them for a time when he won't be around anymore - but for now that time is still quite far away, and he is determined to discover more secrets to study and ponder.

"...The sky is beautiful tonight." The dragons pause, and lower their heads together, waiting to hear their leader speak. "What do you hear, Antares?"

Antares smiles. Under the wide night sky, one can almost hear his soul sing. The stars echo him in their rooted celestial seats, his eternal audience. The river of wonder and wisdom in this humming love spreads into and past eternity.

"I hear you," he replies softly, "And you are beautiful, too."
