Orpheus is among the newest clutch from a large family of death-dealers, parented by Urban, the Executioner and Peyton, the Deathcaller, a pair whose family has come to spread across two allied clans in the Sea of A Thousand Currents and the Tangled Wood. Many of their children have grown to be vicious, unyielding gladiators, or wielders of dark and powerful magic.

Orpheus, however, seeks to broaden his horizons, to lurk in shadows in more distant corners of Sornieth. He waits for the right time to stretch his wings and take flight...
