Biography
Title: The Weathereye
Role: Hound
Familiar: Autumn Sphinx (Ursula)
- A creature of uncommon calamity, as the lore goes!
- Has three different scent-omens: ash, brine, and thunder.
- Simple farmer-guide who betrays his guests if they smell like a good time! And a good time to Aoi is basically just exciting, whether or not he benefits materially.
"A mess," Morg champs as her clan flees for the distant Blacksands border, the king laid low by a minor goddess's not-so-minor curse. She rolls her eyes as he wheezes petals on their so-called beast of burden, who carries the king in a little sling in his great maw. It is a long, long way, and she is anticipating the beast's sneeze before nightfall.
The abandoned crops in this area are so wild as to be almost worthless, seedy and salted with frost from the encroaching floes. Each time a towering stalk of grain touches the king, he contorts like a speared serpent. And each time, Morg stares stonily as the rose vines twist his body, his bones, to imitate their more vegetable flexibility. Pure as wind, pure as green; and it had taken all of Sontag's strength to break their roots and pull his king from the hungry earth.
Once upon a time, his hubris had enchanted her.
"Agreed," their grinning guide, well, grins. Unlike the baker they sometimes visited, this tundra smiled widely to display his canines. He smelled of ash, electricity, and brine, and she only barely trusted him despite their shared element. He was, after all, almost certainly a bandit, but he'd found their king and summoned his rescue; saved his life and spurned the local goddess's justice. What could he possibly hope to gain from allying himself against a deity, especially when she still cut through these fields in hot pursuit?
