Caris spends all of her time looking after others, which often comes as a surprise to those who judge based on appearance. He size makes her the perfect candidate for care-taking - large enough to carry supplies for her work, but small enough to remain assuring. Her hands are adept at bandaging and treating the wounded, and her powerful legs are brilliant for running to help.

Together with her mate Shade, she serves as a peaceful presence in the clan, often calming disputes before they've begun. She saved many lives in the dangerous trek across the Abiding Boneyard, and was responsible for convincing quite a few dragons to stay. She dotes on and teaches Ailia, but will not tolerate any whining from the skydancer and is quick to get her back in line.
