Mate to the drama queen Ailia, the first thing you'll notice about Steele is the exuberant twinkle in his eyes. Always ready for adventure and perfectly long-suffering, this is a dragon of exceptional joy and hidden strength.

Born of a Fire and Water dragon in a Light clan from a Wind nest, many would expect Steele to be a mess of a dragon. Instead, all of the different elements have combined to produce a truly magnificent beast. The joyful and adventurous spirit of a Wind dragon, but the patience and fluidity of a Water dragon, combined with the passion of a Fire dragon and the truth-seeking, logical mind of a Light dragon, there really is no way to go wrong.

His joy is in creating - be it experiences, machines or things of beauty. He works as a scout under Bloodembers, and the two get along very well, with many a shared joke between them. The older dragon has often been around to offer advice to the younger dragon, and it is partially because of this wisdom that Steele's relationship with his mate has been such a wild success.

Steele's calming, equanimous disposition balances her perfectly - many of her temper fits have been settled simply by his presence, and he has helped her to realize the joy of helping others and creating shared experiences - the two now dance together on occasion, their brilliant gembond crystals reflecting in the Plague-land sun and adding dazzling splashes of color to an otherwise desolate landscape. When asked how he stays so patient he will respond with a smile and a murmur of, "This too shall pass."

His patience extends to more than his love - he works occasionally with Toshiharu and smiles through all of his pranks and demands, but his fascination with the innovation of machinery keeps him there. Aside from Ailia, his most treasured possession is his powerpack, which was gifted to him by his master as a token of thanks for his long service. Steele has an immense respect for Dalton, and while the imperial is normally too busy to talk to him he secretly appreciates the enthusiasm Steele has for his inventions.

Because of his connection with Toshiharu and his Wind/Light connections, he is also close friends with Kiiro and rumor has it that he is teaching the tiny Fae to dance.
