Olethros

Olethros was a member of the Atlanix (hope I spelled that right)
Clan, but was sold as a dragonet to the NovaBorn clan, where
she was born and raised, and altho many of her fellow clan
mates have there suspicions, she is completely loyal to the clan.
She was raised under the former, but back then current,
queen- Midnight, but that didn't save her
from a lot of nasty comments. She is fierce and a good friend,
but can be very held back to strangers. After Midnight's children
were either proven as horrid rulers or simply didn't want the position,
Midnight declared herself retired, and much to some of the dragons
whom still didn't trust her fully's astonishment, appointed Olethros the new queen.
She now wears the emblem of royalty, a glowing rose and a darksteel
necklace. As she became a teenager to a young queen, many saw her for
now what makes her a respected queen, her traits being loyal,
confident, wise, witty and stubborn for what she believes. If you ask her
how she feels about her life, she will say one thing -
"It was a doozy, but I'm not old yet!"

Olethros looked nervously outside, her head leaning out the window. Usually she would have taken a deep breath from the cool air, but that seemed like something one would do when they were ready for the morning.
And she certainly was not ready.
Midnight had informed her that she would announce something today- and that Olethros was supposed to be there.
But not to watch, oh, no, she was supposed to go up and present herself infront of everyone. "Olethros! Get in here right now, it's time to go! And don't dilly dally, trust me, it will be fine!" came a voice from the other room. Midnight. She was always so formal around others, but she never talked that way around Olethros. Olethros sighed, and walked toward the exit of there place in the palace. Most would greedily cherish the lavish rooms,
but Olethros always felt guilty. If only everyone cloud live here, then there wouldn't be so many poor homes. Now, she wasn't upset at Midnight- the old dragon tried her best. Midnight nodded in greetings, ruffling Olethros back feathers until they were a bit more tidy.
"You forgot to brush again." Olethros sighed and patted Midnight. Even though Mid was older, Olethros easily outgrew her and most of her former class mates. She started heading out the door when Mid stopped her and turned her around to look Mid in the eyes. "You can't keep being so silent, young one. How will you make a change without even addressing to others that there needs to be one?" Olethros was about to shake her head in protest,
then realized that would only support Mid's argument. Mid wrapped her small talons around Olethros face. "Promise me, Olethros, that you will be bold."
Olethros looked away for a moment, before laying her gaze back on Mid's. "I promise."-her voice was surprisingly loud, naturally. Mid nodded and dragged Olethros to the balcony,
where below a crowd had gathered. Olethros stayed behind Mid, still nervous even after her promise. Midnight looked over the crowd with a heavy stare. "You may be wondering why I've called you here." there were mumures of agreement. Midnight was short, but she towered over everyone in a way only she could do. "My bones creak with old age. It is time I retire." There was calls of protest and sadness echoing from the darkness, only the glowing mushrooms didn't seem affected. Olethros was shocked, but she had to admit Mid had a point. She was a tad bit old. She was struck with realization: That meant that one of Mid's children would have to take her place! But that was wild! None of them wanted it, and it would cause so much protests! She started sweating and looking at Mid's children, who both looked shocked and unhappy. Midnight continued. "And I have found my heir." she looked across at the whole crowd, pausing on her children. "Stop those faces, it's not you,
mushroom heads." she snapped, and the whole audeance sighed with releif and giggles.
Everyone was asking the same question: Who?
"Now.
Please, Olethros, step forward."
And that was the day of the coronation. That was the day of stubborn whispers from the subjects. And that was the day Olethros looked at who she would be ruling, and that was the day she started to be bold.
For no one would be bold for her.
