Biography
Simoun
Simoun (or Simoom) is a Levantine wind whose temperature can exceed 54 °C (129 °F) and drop humidity below 10%. It means "poison wind" because its sudden appearance can cause heat stroke due to rapid overheating.
Fiery, blunt and aggressive - these are the three words that best describe Simoun.
Appropriately named, this dragon was born ready to fight. They say she gnawed her way out of her egg, and bit off one of her mother's talons, so out of either fear or anger her parents abandoned the little hatchling, knowing full well that she was more than capable of taking care of herself despite her youth. Named and raised by a patient and old, now long-dead Snapper, Simoun has constantly been on the move, but is particularly fond of the desert heat. Known by many across the land for her fearlessness and strength, she has made a living as a mercenary for hire, taking any job for the right price. While she aptly makes it clear that she belongs to no dragon and only rarely and privately would admit it, she dearly loves her companion Khamsin and protects him with a ferocity matched only by the Shade itself. However, she always dreamed of becoming the head rank officer of her clan's army once she found one, and nobody doubts that she could easily do so if it weren't for her recklessness and authority problems. Fortunately for her, Jekylson thinks her ferocity is endearing, and Roslin has plenty of practice tolerating dragons like her.
