Erigore

As you enter the clan to meet the dragons here, This Imperial gazes down at you. "Ah, hello," she says in a kind voice as she turns from a pile of papers on a desk in front of her. "Welcome to the SkyWings clan, I'm Erigore, the clan's teacher. Want to help me grade papers?" she asks, then laughs as she nudges you and says "Only joking," and smiles warmly as she sets about her work as you take a minute to read below...



I know, you might think her name sounds like Aragorn from LOTR, but it's not, it's a different name/spelling :) and also sounds like Eragon from Christopher Paolini, but is not, is her own name :D If Erigore is too hard to say or too confusing, she also goes by Eri (which sounds like air+ee)


Erigore is a sweet soul who loves education and knowledge, and inspiring young minds which makes her perfect for her Role (see below). She also loves being around kids and just has this way with them that not many other Dragons in the clan have and nobody would have anyone else be around their kids than her. Because of this way she has with kids, it fits in perfectly with her Role, and now that Merie has arrived, and has a similar way about her with kids, Erigore is glad to have the help and loves seeing young minds grow. :)

When she was younger, she had dreams & fantasies of becoming a teacher, and as she grew older in her previous clan, she devoted herself to knowledge and studied everything she could, learning about all the subjects known to dragonkind. Since her home was in Light, however, Erigore felt as though she couldn't teach many there for they were also well-versed in the knowledge of the world, so she struck out to spread her information to non-Light territories. She was sad to leave her home, but found that her parents decided to sell all of her siblings so, she took them & ventured to the Auction House to see which clan they would join. Her & Artianna were very close growing up but as Art's personality began to come to the surface more & she started doing wild, reckless things, Eri decided to distance herself from her free-spirited sister to keep her own sanity since she was more down to earth than the other Imp. She grew closer with her brother Lavender before they finally all went to different clans as Art began doing her activities with Undyne, but as the fates would have it, Lavender & Undyne became Exalted and Art & Eri landed here in the same clan together. Though distancing herself at first, Erigore felt as though maybe she should stick by her sister's side instead, and after arriving, she told the clan leaders about her and Art was brought as well.
She and her sister were purchased together through the Auction House and joined the SkyWings clan on the same day. The two Imperials were overjoyed when they were bought together and realized they weren't going to be split up & headed to the same place. She was welcomed here and felt included by all the Dragons around and was helped into the clan by a kind dragon named Gabrian who was an outsider himself, and shortly thereafter, she fell in love with Gabrian's kind nature and the warm ambiance of the clan. With that in mind, Erigore decided this was where she was going to stay and live out her dreams of becoming a teacher... and maybe winning over the heart of the sweet, compassionate Skydancer. :)
Since it was in the early days of the clan, the place was still being built and most was under construction. There were already some youth however, and Erigore got to work right away with teaching their young minds. She had a make-shift school built out of wood that supported sheets of fabric that created a tent for the little ones to learn in, but the atmosphere was still the same as an ordinary building of knowledge. It was ramshackle at first, and the true veterans of the new school remember her first days but now she has a building to call her own off the side of the Lair where she still continues to teach the hatchlings of the clan. She worked diligently through this time to get the school running and keep it going, and since day 1, there has been many celebrations and graduations as the youth move on with their lives & take what they've learned and apply it to the real world. This Light dragon couldn't be prouder to her contributions to the clan and the lives of those that live here, and the clan wouldn't be same if she wasn't here.
As the clan grew and more & more were welcomed in & brought to her school, Gabrian couldn't help but notice how determined she was and how well she handled hatchlings and adults alike. For her school was not only inclusive to the youth, but if a dragon came to the clan and was lacking knowledge in a certain area or if they wanted to know more about something, she welcomed all & taught any, no matter age; size; colors; breed or anything else that was only skin-deep. The Skydancer loved how inclusive she was and the way that she had in the classroom and with the youth especially, and felt a fondness growing within him for the Imperial. After a time of interactions between the two, he felt feelings for her that went deeper than just friendship and started to wonder if she felt the same. One day when she wasn't busy teaching a class, he caught her in a free moment and asked to have a chat. And in this conversation, they realized their own feelings for each other, and thus decided it could be a good idea to perhaps try a relationship, and thus Gabrian and Erigore began courting. Through this time, they were very happy together and made a great couple and went down the path that lead to marriage, and wedding bells. Shortly thereafter, they became parents and welcomed in 3 children of their own who are now integral parts of the clan themselves. And even though both she and her husband are outsiders, the clan has worked to make them and their kids feel as welcome as possible here in the SkyWings clan.
She also enjoys spending time with her Luminous Ambassador, Lux, and enjoys trading bits of info back and forth with him and finds that when he's not on his journeys, he makes a great Teacher's Assistant :D
As the school has continued to grow, some others have joined her and now make up a small staff of teachers who work alongside her to bring information to the youth of the clan :)

One fateful night, when Erigore & Gabrian were both busy with their tasks and apart for a time, Artianna set into motion a plan she had been concocting for some time. She had been getting jealous of her sister's growing success in the clan while she seemed to be going nowhere & not finding her own place within and frustrated at how her life had seemingly grown stagnant, aside from meeting her own love interest. Art, too, had fallen for the Skydancer shortly after meeting him, and wanted to make him her own, but it seemed her sister had found success there, as well. Art was envious and felt as though he had been stolen from her, and thus devised a way to get him to want her instead, so she could steal him back and get revenge on her sister. It involved the perfect timing, magic, and a spell-bound potion that she managed to get her claws (hands) on, and on that night, she found the opportunity she'd been waiting for. With the plan set in motion, she got an intoxicated Gabrian all to herself while her sister stayed busy--stuck with night school and inspecting the overnight work of a maintenance team of Snapper dragons-- so Art could do her thing. Even though it was through wrong means, Artianna felt that that was the best night ever and well worth the wait..
But eventually the secret got out, and she was discovered and her ploy was ruined. Especially when only a few short days later she had a clutch of eggs that hatched, and she couldn't keep it to herself any longer.. Others began to wonder where the dergs had come from, and as time went on, Art couldn't live with the pressure anymore and confessed what she had done to all parties involved. They were shocked and furious at first, but learned to be forgiving and not be too harsh to the Imp. Erigore understands what her sister thought and why she might do something like that, even though it hurt her & her husband deeply, but she welcomes her sister's children in to the family and now works to take care of them with Art as if they were her own :)

Update: As time went on, word slowly got out about that night and now basically the whole clan knows about the mishap. Since people might have been whispering or spreading rumors about the mixed family, Erigore & Gabrian wanted to welcome in some more children and decided to set the record straight & put to rest any rumors that might've been still floating around and re-bred, proving their love to themselves and others :) The couple waited anxiously for their new children to arrive, and when they finally hatched, Gabrian & Erigore were more than ecstatic to meet them, their two new daughters, IceBerry & DuskDance. Erigore enjoyed the journey of Motherhood again, and while she loves seeing how it has helped to make her husband feel young again, she feels as though having hatchlings around once more is quite taxing on her health, now that she's a bit older than last time. However, she wouldn't have agreed to it if she didn't think she was capable, so alongside teaching her kids & other youngsters in the clan, she loves seeing them grow & enjoy watching the two girls make connections & find their place in the clan :) As they grew however, the two girls felt similar to the way their mom & aunt did and wanted to strike out on their own, venturing into the vast realm of Sornieth to find their place where they truly belonged. The two beauts landed in a clan of Light, and did many great services to the group, with the last being their Exaliting to the Lightweaver, which has made Erigore & Gabrian very proud once they heard the news :)

Erisgore also has a pseudo-daughter who may not be related by blood, but when a Pearlcatcher arrived without her parents and was also from the Light Flight, Erigore couldn't help but feel her heart go out to the child. Though she tried not to take over being her mother since the young'un already had parents of her own, Eri found that she enjoyed being a caregiver again and took the bab in under her wing and spent a lot of time with her outside of the classroom as well, and the two formed a special bond. Gabrian welcomed her in as well, being a loving father figure that the Pearlcatcher needed since she was no longer with her real family, and Beauty, the Pearlcacther, flourished within their care :) Now Beauty is a Teacher just like Erigore, and it has helped the Imperial having another one around! :D

Erigore is the clan's Teacher! Since she hails from Light, and is the clan's Light rep, and values knowledge and information as much as the next Light Dragon, she has been appointed Teacher of the clan! She holds a small school for hatchlings teaching them all they need to know about the world around them in every subject until they become of age and, having mastered all her courses, graduate. She also teaches other Dragons that come into the clan and are looking for an education, or lacking in some areas.
Her sister was also a Teacher, and tried to help her sister, but being the carefree and reckless soul she is, most of the Teacher responsibilities have been handed over to Erigore, since all the Dragons in the clan know she won't put their youth in harms' way, and since Art has found her true calling in life with her adventure business :)
