____Ibis at first glance appears to be like the average, battle ready wild claw; she rarely shows any emotion upon her face in public and her stane is usually proud, if assertive, with wings and head held high. The Shadow dragon is usually unintentionally intimidating, keeping to herself in her own personal den when not circling around her home, making sure her family is safe. While gruff and stoic, Ibis truly means well, and tries to soften up her demeanor when around a potential new clanmate; the wildclaw finds it easiest to lower her walls around children, which are who Jude most commonly brings to her for inspection anyway. Due to the immense amount of protectiveness Ibis exhibits towards her clanmates, she refuses to allow any newcomer to join their ranks without first passing her test. The clan tells stories of their fierce leader, but the truth is that Ibis would rarely, if ever, turn away a dragon in need. Despite her motherly nature, her overall personality is still hard to deal with when first meeting the dragoness; she can accidentally come off as cruel or harsh, her tone being too sharp without intention, and sometimes frightening the newer members of the clan.
____Despite how her first impression might seem cold and distant, Ibis truly adores children. Her own wishes to become a mother and raise little warriors of her own flesh and blood fuel this wildclaw to take in every and any hatchling who so much as gives her the puppy eyes; this has proved to be such a problem that now Jude is solely responsible for bringing in new clanmates and will keep Ibis from wandering to another clan's nesting grounds and coming home with a dozen more bundles of trouble. The lower number of children around does not stop this dragoness from being any less fierce in her protective maturnal instincts-- this has even caused disputes in the past where atchlings tried manipulating their leader to take their side and give them special treatment. These behaviours have been mostly corrected by giving denmothers complete authority over the raising of young, but this does not stop Ibis from still trying to give the children special treats or allowing them access to her special stash of sweets. It is a different story with the older dragons, however, and Ibis can sometimes be too stern in her words, especially when giving a scolding; however it is well known that she does not mean every word said when upset, though her forgiveness is usually earned back in the forms of gifts-- usually small trinckets or more feline familiars for the leader's den. Ibis never holds a grudge for long, though, and her bark is worse than her bite.

____The leader of the clan has struggled for years with her own short comings, the most noticable is a mild social anxiety; Ibis has a natural disadvantage when meeting new dragons or addressing large groups, even her clanmates whom she loves. The wildclaw is fearless when it comes to battles for honour and the protection of her family, but interacting with the other dragons of the Safe Haven can prove borderline painful at first. Ibis generally comes off as standoffish initially, something many dragons find unnerving due to her species, but it usually does not take long before the dragoness warms up and allows herself to relax around any new face. However, while it is difficult to earn her trust, Ibis is loyal to a fault once it is earned. She turns into a different dragon altogether when alone with her closest friends, like Jude or Norva; the older dragons are always welcome to come share a night in her personal den and the friends commonly stay up all night talking and laughing and sharing life stories. Ibis truly appreciates and loves her friends, and will even ask them for opinions on clan affairs or situations which arise between the dragons; they are a support system for the wildclaw, and since she is without a mate, they are the things that keep her going whenever life feels too rough to continue. Ibis is always noticably more lax when accompanied by Norva or Romulus, while Jude is away, and either of the elder dragons are usually close by her side during those times.
____One thing Ibis has always put her heart and soul into, was becoming a better warrior. It was the one thing that helped put her apart from her siblings in her original clan, and the only thing she felt made her father notice her, but not only that-- the dragoness loves the rush, the adrenalin, and the pride in being able to survive a dangerous clash with dangerous adversaries. Ibis has several hours daily set aside for her battle training, though there is an open invitation for any of her clanmates to join her; there is nothing she loves more than taking a willing young dragon and being able to show them how to defend themselves and their home, in Ibis' eyes. Though she does not know how to take it slow or ease herself in, instead the wildclaw has always pushed herself to her limits, physically and mentally. This only became more intense when Jude joined her, as the pearlcatcher was a trained warrior and often helps her friend with keeping her skills sharp, so the two friends are the only ones whom will go into sparring matches until they are both panting and aching from the effort. Ibis absolutely loves it and it only makes the friends' bond even tighter. Though the dragoness' favourite battle move is not one allowed to be used in mere training matches; after years of trial and error, she can now whip her tail like a vine around her foes' throats, effectively strangling them, in order to end a battle swiftly. Due to the sheer speed and intimidation factor, Ibis can often preform this move while her adversary is stunned with shock-- but this is not something she boasts about. Taking a life is something only done when there is no other option, and the wildclaw preaches this at eery single sparring session.
