Upon following a worn cobblestone path from the heart of clan activity, you find yourself arriving at a carved-out side of the giant mountain Kamui itself. A small courtyard greets you, and while various hints of wilderness accent the small clearing in the form of decoration, several modern sculptures dot the area as well. The mix of the two styles is refreshing. After spending some time admiring the location, your approach towards the front of what seems to be the Wild Heights Library comes to a halt. Diagonally and some yards away lies a behemoth of a Guardian, and despite his visage being covered, he is quite alert, listening to your every move. As long as all is well, though, he doesn't stir, so your attention diverts back to your subject of interest. A massive wall of glass stands before you, broken up into panels, each of those surrounded by frames of dark wood. Vines trickle down from the mountainside, mingling with each outermost pane, and a large door of the same wood marked with the clan's crest blocks your path. At your next step, however, the seal glows, a low rumble sounding before it swings open, inviting you in. A cylindrical domed ceiling connects to shelf upon shelf of books and scrolls, nary an open space to be found. Where there aren't documents, art and carvings line the architecture, displaying the history of how Wild Heights came to be along with each demigod or spirit that resides in the territory. Your eyes dance wildly as you try to take it all in, but before you can walk any further, a Spirit of Light bounds right over your feet, the satchel on its back jostling with its every hop. You stumble backwards - what on Sornieth was that?!  "I apologize; he hasn't much care for what happens to be in the way while on an errand." |

The voice startles you, and after jumping slightly you see a brownish Pearlcatcher regarding you from behind a large desk. Without a word the drake shifts, walking out and around from her post to greet you with a nod. She lids her eyes and lets out a small, defeated sigh, head lolling to the right.
"My familiar, Aristotle - feel free to ignore him. He's a good messenger and does as I ask, but not without complication. Anyway," she points to a more secluded section of the library with her snout, nudging you toward it with an outstretched wing. "You're here to learn, yes? Over here is our 'About the Clan' section. Since you're new here, I'll give you a little overview." There's a sudden pause; seems her hastiness made her momentarily forget her manners. "My name is Narije." Narije was as silent as a mouse, footsteps well-trained after countless years spent being a librarian. It was a short stroll, but your eyes still flicked around, trying to absorb everything you possibly could. It was neatly kept; everything in its place, and even the few stacks of books on the ground appeared to be exactly where they should. The Pearlcatcher cleared her throat, immediately sending you into a halt. You'd arrived, apparently, and had nearly walked right into her... oops. Luckily for you she didn't draw attention to the mishap and instead motioned for you to sit on one of the various-sized cushions laying about, beginning to pull a few titles off the shelves. "You'll see as I take these down that some are quite decorated while others are not. Those with special backing, like this platinum one here, hold information on dragons that have earned special rank within our clan. I'll tell you a bit about each subject as I pass them down regardless of status - everyone still has their own story to be told. Ready?" |

Kamui One of the founding goddesses, Kamui embodies the spirit of the mountain and is the origin of all that is good and is mother to us all. It is she that emanates the energy which draws in dragons from far and wide. While the demigod truly has no gender, it appears to inhabitants of the clan as a female skydancer during winter months, aiding whoever may need help in harsh weather with a flurry of snow and frost in her wake. Wep'keer This spirit represents the first race that inhabited Kamui: the Oina. It too takes the form of a skydancer, appearing before others much more frequently than the other remaining demigods. He seeks to educate dragons on times of old and the culture of civilizations past, dressing in bright robes and animal effigies as the tribe once did. Reizeku Rei was one half of the founding pair of Wild Heights, and thanks to the elemental and divine influences of The Gladekeeper and demigods, the once-guardian has now transformed into a massive, druidic spiral. He is more spirit than dragon and mostly stays hidden to keep tabs on the flora and ecosystem of the mountain. Brynyl The second founder of Wild Heights, Brynyl, underwent the same changes as her mate Reizeku. Her charge regards the fauna and beastclans within and surrounding their territory, often spending more time with them than her clanmates in order to gather as much information as possible.
