Time is something almost painfully finite, whether it be a person's life or the fate of an entire world. And, under normal circumstances, all progress is limited by both its prospective time-frame, and by the issue of ethics- morality largely serving as a wall placed in the way of what might serve to speed things up.

However, there are always those who will seek to overcome such "trivial" limitations, and, within his lifetime, Orochimaru was certainly one such individual. Attempting to unlock all of the world's secrets, and obtain immortality for himself in order to gather the time in order to do so, the criminalized scientist broke every rule known in the book for the sake of his progression...

"If there is any meaning in death, it's to take advantage of it." - Orochimaru

All leading up to the day that he sealed both himself, and what mattered most to him, inside carefully created statues- Guarded for countless lifetimes until their energy flowed out of the stone that had rendered it timeless, and reformed into brand new, and completely altered, images.

Granted, ambition doesn't end when a single lifetime does... And, given so many new toys to play with, the world of Sornieth has come to possess quite the dangerous set of individuals. Though, much to its mercy, the result of such a process wasn't something entirely terrible-

But in this system of Yin and Yang, the trade off for receiving such a blessing might not have been worth the flipped side to that coin.

____As some of you might have picked up on, Orochi is a fan dragon based off of the Naruto character Orochimaru. This particular Orochimaru rendition is the result of numerous roleplays and discussions between myself and KyuuBird- This means that, if you want to somehow involve one of your own dragons or fandragons with him, you will need an okay from the both of us.

____Because he is a fan dragon, I would greatly prefer it if he wasn't drawn or given headcanons by people who are unfamiliar with Orochimaru as a character. Additionally, because there is more to Orochi than just being a character tribute, I also want to confirm that he is happily taken and in a committed relationship with Gwaed- So please don't use him in any "flirt with a dragon" scenario unless you are planning on having it be incredibly one-sided on your dragon's part.

____As a final note, this dragon is a permanent resident of my lair and I can not be persuaded to sell, trade, breed, or exalt him.

_EXTRAS_

FACTS:
▸ Orochimaru's soul was split into two during the process that brought him into his current existence. The Yin half of his soul is Orochi and the Yang half of his soul is Maru.

▸ Orochi's mate still calls him 'Maru as an affectionate nickname- She is the only one allowed to do so.

▸ Although not listed on one of Orochi's relationship lists (largely due to being a familiar in this world), Gwaed has a wandering albatross called Sho who is constantly getting in Orochi's way and annoying him (especially when Orochi is trying to woo Gwaed).
