Suer is a brave individual, taking risks to protect the clan. She, Dai, and Locke are the fighters for the clan, bringing home food and treasure, and training recruits for Shadowbinder. Though she sometimes does not approve of sending these younglings to fight for the deity, she agrees that Shadowbinder can use any help, and tries to ensure the safety of those she trains. Not only does she train recruits from outside the clan, she also gives weapons training to those in the clan. More than once, a dragon has seen her come back from a successful hunt and asked her to teach them, and she has gladly agreed. To her, there is nothing more wonderful than a dragon having mastered the bow or sword, or able to use their claws to their full potential.
