Biography
AURORA
scholar peaceful • capable • sharp → PERSONALITY Aurora is a soft-spoken dragon with a gentle smile and a kind word for everyone she crosses paths with. She is both trusting and trusted by all, an effect of her demure disposition. Her clan-mates joke that newborn parda kittens are more ferocious than she, and Aurora responds with delighted laughter, her voice ringing like bells. They all know that she is as much of a warrior as any of them. Although her temperament is kind, the gentle curve of her smile can change in an instant, the corners of her lips twisting cruelly into an uncharacteristic sneer. However, it has been years since Aurora has deigned to put her training to use. She teeters on the edge of pacifism - never fully embracing the position, but nor opposing it. While the Wolfsworn's purpose is to carry out the wishes of the Lightweaver, whatever they may be, Aurora is inclined to disagree with violence. She is quick to voice her distaste for unnecessary boodshed, but will turn a blind eye toward situations where a little coercion is unavoidable. And while she refuses to participate, she continues to follow the regimes of the Wolfsworn, training daily to maintain her skills. Battle expertise is not the only quality the Wolfsworn values. Intelligence is a highly-valued attribute to any dragon, and Aurora stands among the brightest of dragons. Her tongue is a blade of wit, one that she wields without hesitation. And while the intricacies of pacifism require her to maintain a level head and her intellectual prowess allows her to do so with ease. Having experienced many a trial, the Wildclaw's competence is never questioned by her clan-mates. → HISTORY Awela discovered the plain, pale egg on a sweltering day near the end of summer. It was nestled into tidy bed of brown leaves and long, dry grass near the camp the Wildclaw and her warriors had established for the night. It was impossible for the egg to belong to one her clan-mates, and a quick search of the area confirmed that it was secure. It was not surprising, this was not the first egg that had been ostensibly abandoned, and nor, Awela was certain, would it be the last. Without further hesitation, she picked it up and ordered her warriors to break camp. The egg hatched within the day, again without incredulity, for abandoned eggs almost always hatched immediately upon being seized. The shell fell away to reveal an infant Wildclaw with pale, striped skin and dark amethyst wings. Her eyes shone yellow-gold and gittered with curiosity and wonderment. The elder Wildclaw pushed all questions of the child's parentage out of her mind, instinctively understanding that she was a gift from the Lightweaver, herself. Awela named the newborn Aurora, meaning dawn, for such a gracious gift from the Lightweaver could only herald a new beginning for the Wolfsworn. → NOTES - Hatched when my daughter was born, July 25, 2014. - Never for sale, trade, or breeding. - Tiger Gene added August 12, 2014. - Gembond Gene added August 12, 2014. - Breed changed (Fae » Wildclaw) November 28, 2014. - Facet Gene added December 13, 2014. - Filigree Gene added March 23, 2018 (formerly, Gembond). |
