Emil grew up along side Haytham and they were magic rivals in their youth. In their first year of the academy Emil awoke to arcane magic (which is a very rare, powerful affinity and allows the control of time and space) and was taken away by the academy to teach him about his magic.

Haytham, 20 years later, eventually with some hard work, found Emil tucked away in the city. Emil had become reclusive and silent, often staring off in to space and muttering about other worlds and planes. His brown hair and eyes had been corrupted by the use of his magic and runes had etched themselves upon his skin.
Haytham, shocked by seeing the state of his old friend, took Emil to stay with him at the library in an attempt to bring his old self back.

Emil has made some progress and is able to speak small amounts to people, and a lot more to Haytham. Emil is working on documenting the things he's seen through his magic in a vast amount of tomes that are stored deep in the library. Emil has also grown an affinity with the piano in the library and is able to express himself more through music.



.Personality


Emil is silent and distant, only really coming back to reality when interacting with Haytham or playing music. When speaking he speaks quietly but clearly, never saying too many words. Emil has learned snippets of various languages from other worlds and realms through his powers and will sometimes mutter them when staring off in to space.

Emil is indifferent to the demons in the city and will treat them the same as he would others.
