Biography
"Meum Numen, obsecro te, fac mea bellator ex vulnere, et nunquam sit eos incidunt."
I felt myself build up, growing at a rate I hadn't realized I could. A stone skeleton lay around me, so I used it as a frame. I became... a more complex creature, perhaps? Wasn't I just a disease? A single cell with no mind? No thought to what I was accomplishing? Now I could rise higher, I could move on my own, I could see! I-I could do whatever I wanted! I wasn't confined to relying on others to help me!
Absolutely fascinating.
A dragon sat in front of me, macabre interest sparkling in startling blue eyes. I looked at my own, new claws and watched them as they solidified into red, metallic points. Wings that looked like glass streatched out to my sides, and a long, snaking body extended far behind me. I felt... powerful?
"I suppose I have you to thank?" I purred. The purple dragon laughed, deep and smooth.
"You certainly came out unique!" He chortled. "I guess it's different for each material?" He took out a small notebook and jotted something down, looking up occasionally. A look of realization suddenly dawned on him. "Ah, of course, I almost forgot." He stood, tall and proud. "I am King Raja, and your name is Venatunum."
"Venatunum?" I questioned. I certainly was, er, something.
"Yup! You're going to be part of my glass cannon team in the Coliseum department."
"The what in the where?"
"The...glass cannon team. In the coliseum department."
"What are those."
"Are you being sarcastic, or..."
"Seriously, what are those."
Raja looked taken aback. "You really don't know? Well, then." He straitened, scowling again. "You don't have any connection with the conscious?" He asked, disbelief written all over his face.
Vague thoughts of other golems floated through my head, but were just out of reach. "I guess if I did, it would be a weak one." I shrugged.
Raja hesitated again, eyes out of focus, before snapping back to reality with a shake of his head. "Well, that's fine then! I really didn't know what would happen when I altered the spell, so I suppose this isn't a horrible outcome!" He trotted over to the entrance of the cave we were in. "I have to finish the others, so why don't you go find Venglacium? She'll tell you what to do."
I slithered up next to him, and looked out. A lone, icy dragon was sitting by a windowsill, looking out silently and without expression. Her eyes were obscured by goggles, but were bright with life, unlike the rest of her. Did I look the same?
Again. Absolutely fascinating.
