- in addition to the usual light magic, the blazelights also have sunfire (which is a combination of light magic, fire, and other additional things, but think of it as pure light magic that acts like fire). notably, dawn sr has by far the most powerful sunfire out of the extant members. - former queen. ascended to the throne and fought dusk tooth and nail the whole way there. then revelough temporarily succeeded in taking over the clan so everyone left banded together to form the resistance, and she personally killed him. almost immediately afterwards dusk was banished to the hewn city. through a complicated series of events, dawn somehow got stuck in a tailor-made prison dimension (except said dimension also contained Ignatius and the ones who cast the spell). since she was no longer queen and dawn jr (her eldest child) had relinquished her claim to the throne, so the next-in-line, elio, was coronated as king. finally, dawn got out, so elio provided her with one of the blazelights' smaller mansions south of everwinter estate. more often than not, she's probably either in the library drinking tea, in the gardens tending to her own plants, or trying to chase after expio before they set everything on fire. of course, she has her side hobbies. - a side effect of said prison dimension is that she was effectively a deity within the dimension. now that she's out, she still has the raw sunfire power (but not the reality-warping aspect), and she is handy with the rapier she carries around, so she's not really defenseless. also she may or may not be immortal and technically a minor deity. nobody knows what her domain is, but the prevailing theory is that it's the sun. - now that she's achieved deityhood, she literally glows (and unlike zia, she can't turn it off). intensity depends on how strongly she's feeling at the moment, which she's rather annoyed at because she used to mask her actual feelings from view and act like her every move is calculated. in reality, is not so stoic, but the calculated part used to be real until she officially retired from politics (though her mannerisms carried over). nowadays, she's mostly chill and is trying to enjoy some peace and quiet for once. like a friendly grandmother who regularly holds tea parties... with a steel-trap memory, a sugar-and-ice personality, a fondness for acerbic wit, and a willingness to intimidate other dragons into submission via impeccable cordiality and gracefulness if necessary. doesn't easily get frightened or lose her temper, until something threatens the Clan, of course; then cue the flaming rapier. or excessive use of sunfire with the end result looking like a hydrogen bomb got detonated in the area. - has a soft spot for kids. whether she's good with them is another matter entirely (dawn jr says no, expio and asa would say yes if the former could talk) - also, cue the trauma galore. crystalline is helping her through it. - has a tendency to run away from her problems, but is actively trying to cut down on it now. as a result, has a... rather strained relationship with her eldest daughter. - is shockingly good at architecture and landscaping. she attributes it to having to design the interior of the prison dimension. - her opinion of the lightweaver is... mixed. she is not a fan of the lightweaver's methods, but she will agree that as one of the eleven, the latter does command some respect. |
