Suran has always been a survivor. Hatched alone in Dragonhome's unforgiving desert, he's clawed his way up from nothing, struggling against his surroundings and other dragons for food and shelter. His determination and fighting spirit are born of necessity, though, and he doesn't relish conflict. While he's protective of those under his care, he has no interest in raiding other clans, and prefers to guide his clan to new lands when resources become scarce.

Despite his hulking size, Suran was hatched a Mirror, evidenced in his lean build, narrow wings, and whiplike tail. While his crest has hardened into craggy horns, the shape is not quite natural for a Guardian, and he retains his second pair of eyes, hidden neatly behind a pair of copper-rimmed spectacles. His transformation's incomplete nature may be due to the magic used: not a scroll, but an ancient incantation promising strength and growth.

He's most often found sunning himself on the cliffs above the clan's latest encampment, basking in the warmth as he keeps an eye out for trouble.
