Drekary
The small warehouse guard Protective | Snippy | Easily irritable Drekary was just a maturing hatchling, when she discovered the hidden section of the lair's warehouse. She was immediately amazed by what it held: numerous different scrolls and trinkets, which seemed to change the very beings of the dragons around her. And some of those were the breed changing tomes. She always saw the adults use them, but not the children, so what gives? Besides, the young guardian desired a different form, to be petite unlike the peers around her. And so.... she grabbed one. One of the skydancer scrolls as she admired the delicate appearance of the windy beasts. She hesitated. Drekary shook her head, opened the tome and read the words. Light spun out of the letters and flashed in her eyes, making her go blind for a short while. Though nothing seemed to change after her sight cleared, aside from the ashes of what was once a scroll. Well, until her head went light and she collapsed unconscious. The child awoke back in her nest, and the world seemed to be much larger than what she remembered it to be. Her body felt lighter as well. The dragoness stammered up to Wedon's pond to see her reflection, revealing her new form- it was both what she desired, and what she didn't. She was a skydancer now, yes, but her once shining belly and horns are gone, now having her body covered in a skeletal marking. Her butterfly like wings had shifted as well, to more simpler feathers. Even her voice wasn't as thunderous. The only things that seemed to remain are her body marks and eyes. Oddly enough, this didn't make her softer. Drekary had become much spunkier than when she was still a guardian, surprising both hatchlings and adults alike. Perhaps it is her hidden frustration of being cursed to remain as a child? Or how strangers keep cradling her as if she's just as old as newborns? She won't admit. But she will definitely snap at curious younglings, who decide to wander in the warehouse she had decided to overlook. | xxxxxx |
