With his green hide and habit of wearing preserved leaves and living plants to be potted, Coleus often looks as much plant as dragon. Present: (from a theme week) Coleus sort of views the whole of Sorneith as his garden. He takes after the clan’s general love of travel and exploration, so most of his adolescent and now adult life has been spent journeying to the next horizon. He tries to leave every patch of earth they camp on fresher and a little greener than the way he found it. This isn’t as easy for him as would be a nature dragon, but then sometimes all a plant needs is some attention. His adoptive father is delighted by his ambitions and instructs him in what ways he can. At this point he is better at telling precisely what a plant or glade needs than Deci is, even if he doesn't have the same natural intuition. Personality: Soft-spoken but determined, cannot easily be dissuaded once he's made up his mind Familiar: (needs name) -frequently hides under Coleus's clothes, though he'll come out when it's sunny if he feels safe -useful for removing pests from his plants Magic: -limited wind magic and air manipulation -shows promise of learning healing magic, though he has mostly learned to apply it to plants; this may be because his natural interest in plants makes focusing on them easier for him, as he is pefectly capable of healing dragons as well History: -found as an abandoned egg in close succession to Rani - Deci and Shiitake, who had begun thinking about settling down with a family, decided to raise to raise the two orphans instead of making a nest of their own (this made sense to many of their clanmates, seeing as Shiitake came from an abandoned egg herself and Deci had long had a soft spot for outcast or homeless creatures) |
