Much like his mate, Lorel has been around since the beginning of the clan. While mostly seen as the muscle of the relationship, it's known amongst the engenieers that he is the pillar of support for the Chief, as well as the backbone of the more administrative matters of the Atheneum. While now he has started delegating his duties more, he is still very present in every decision made for the Atheneum and the clan as a whole.
Most of the Atheneum know him to be someone hard to ruffle, and he can always be counted on to see each situation with the most clear mind. He comes off as stoic and perhaps intimidating to those unfamiliar with him, but in reality he is a source of comfort to most that live in the Atheneum.

history
Lorel was born to a small clan in the Highland Scrub. His home was peaceful, and he knew little hardship as he grew up. When the time arrived for him to begin his Search, he went away with confidence and little regret.
However, he had underestimated the difficulty that the rest of the Shifting Expanse represented, and soon enough he found himself low on supplies and very much lost. He would've perished from thirst if Slither had not found him then. She helped him get something to drink and recover, despite the hurry to get back to her clan she was in. Of course he followed when she took off in the direction a huge explosion came from, feeling indebted to his saviour. When faced with the utter destruction they found in the mesa, hde squared his shoulders and swallowed down his horror in order to console the distraught fae.
He stayed with her as she set about going through the rubble, and he stayed as they found an old war machine and decided to remake the ruins of the clan to make room for a new one. It was not long after that he declared Slither as her Charge, and eventually the two got married officially.
Nowadays he is quite happy with his life, though that does not take away the quiet nights in which he questions if Slither is truly his Charge, or if it was only the guilt at causing the delay that possibly resulted in the explosion that drove him to make such a claim. He ignores those kinds of thought most of the time, for even if he found out that he had a true Charge out there he would not leave his place to look for it, perhaps his choice had been driven by guilt and sorrow at first, but even today he stands by it.
