Washington quick look The unrelenting founder, Slither has been around since before the clan existed. She, alongside Gizel and Lorel, carved the ruins of her old home into something new and more inviting. While she's a bit of a recluse and is rarely seen outside her workshop, none who have met her can argue that she doesn't have the best interests of the clan at heart. Although she keeps a strong and slightly cold demeanor around most dragons, a new project or idea always brings forth visible excitement and joy from her that is rarely seen otherwise. |

history Born to a militarised clan, Slither grew up assembling weapons to be used against the shade or the other flights. While not particularly happy, she enjoyed the work and she grew to be notorious and praised for her mechanics, even being allowed to work on what would be the clan's magnum opus: a magical reactor not unlike the one made an entire Age ago. She poured herself into her work on the reactor, handling most of the delicate mechanisms thanks to her small size. However when the day of the final test came, she noticed a small part that needed a replacement from one of their neighboring clans and, thinking herself fast enough to get there an back in time, left without a word to fly over to that clan. Things were going great, until on her way back, she ran into Lorel, parched from wandering the desert for a long time. She paused to help him out, convincing him to move to some shade before she offered him some of the water she carried on her. Tragically, while she made sure he recovered as much as possible, the test was carried out by her clan. A resounding explosion echoed throughout the desert, accompanied by a beacon of light from the mesa that had once housed the network of caves. Knowing the worst had likely happened, Slither set out to go back to her home, a worried Lorel barely managing to follow her. The pair came to a stop at the edge of the mesa, now hollowed out and smoking hot from the explosion. Unwilling to let herself be down, she shoved down the grief and guilt and started searching the remains for survivors. In the rubble they found Gizel, an old war machine that had been powered down and forgotten in storage, they woke him up and the three of them slowly made the crater a livable space. Over time that crater grew into a new clan, of which Slither is fiercely protective over. Despite that, she has forbidden development of weapons in the workshops, as well as strong security protocols; she never knew for sure if the explosion was caused by the piece she was supposed to replace or by a greater oversight, but she is not willing to take chances. With the move to the new territory she has had to split the leadership with Zuri, mainly overlooking now the Tempest Atheneum while the skydancer keeps the Fields in order. She has insisted in keeping good communication with the harpies of the Bright Lightning tribe, to retain access to the shard of the World Pillar. While ancient magic like that is not her field of expertise, she is greatly devoted to the Stormcatcher and thus highly values information pertaining Him.
