Ilanga is a chaotic, young soul who wants to do nothing more than please others and enjoy life to the fullest. It’s only her anxiety and her doubts that hold her back. But with a growing love for another dragon and a new family, those obstacles are growing out of being mountains. She gets her artistic aspects from her mother, who would've been an art teacher at a local acolyte school, but she was burdened with a child. Her mother had to live alone and carry Ilanga until she was born. Without a lover and being very young, it was challenging, but despite the odds, she pulled through. When Ilanga was born, she had to help her mother with many things. In return, her mother showered her with bottomless love and taught her all she knew. (It made up for the rude glances and names often throw at her, like mistake or accident) They were inseparable, and nothing could tear their small family apart. But without a father figure in her life, she felt as though a piece of her was incomplete.

Her mother always valued Ilanga with such prestige, Ilanga could do nothing less than live up to her mother's standards. Excelling in her studies and flaunting her artistic skills, through music and painting, Ilanga tried her best. It was only when she was coming of age that the burnout hit her, and it hit hard. For once in her life, she wasn't valued as the smartest, the most this and the most that. Her mother began to care less. (She didn't mean to, the demands of the village were catching up to her) Ilanga felt her life was without worth and fell into a depression. That piece of her left empty tore a gaping hole in her heart. She longed for someone to love her the way everyone else does around her, to find a soulmate, to ease her anxiety. Then she met Damien, another dragon whom she began to love dearly, who helped her to her feet. She found her missing piece and couldn't imagine life before him or a life without him. They grew close, and many thought the two love birds were flirtatious soul mates.

The two are not yet a couple but they spend the majority of their time together in his Cottage on the coast of the Clan. Although her home is in the core of Ulalume. She loves sunrises and sunsets by Damien's side. Ilanga is trying to work up the courage to tell him how she really feels, but she fears rejection and loneliness. Ilanga loves the smell of rain and is quite fond of her dove, ilios, given to her by her mother. She loves the colour yellow and can't turn down a good scroll. Though it may be looked down upon by her mother, she identifies as a biromantic asexual. She believes that romance is about true love and openness rather than a bloodline. Even though she cuts herself off to prevent herself from being a burden to others, she loves being social but fears others’ opinions of her. She also has an odd hobby of collecting squirrel skulls. Whenever she is on her travels or even on a quick walk, she makes it her goal to bring home at least one. Damien admires her determination and odd quirks. He keeps a squirrel skull of hers by his beside on the highest shelf in his bookcase.
