Born as a raging adolescent, Shivers channeled her aggression into trying to conquer sea tempests. Light dragons are stereotypically known to be those of patience, intellect, and virtue. In essence, Shivers was expected to be everything that she was not. At a young age she had trouble sitting still, concentrating, and controlling her feelings of frustration and temper. No amount of breathing and meditation could soothe her inner turmoil (and hence her magical abilities are relatively poor), but instead of relying on magic, she favored physical attacks (and hence she has a slight edge physically in comparison to other skydancers). Eventually, she ran away from philosophizing and learning in school to become a sailor, and eventually, a pirate. The adrenaline from dancing with death during storms was what ultimately attracted her to this lifestyle, and being far away from the laws of the land initially gave her blissful satisfaction. But as she lived the life of lawlessness on the sea, she felt emptier and emptier. Now, she's back on land and has joined herself to this clan in an effort to make an honest living as the clan's merchant. She's still very rough around the edges, but she tries her best to help those around her and to give them life advice about how to be a better dragon.
