╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯Avgrunnen’s job is similar to that of a strategist. From sending the members out on various tasks, to when their next organized raid should be, Avgrunnen leads the clan with the strictness of a queen and the fondness of a mother. Her carefully thought out plans keep everyone safe, even when things look grim, which makes the clan members feel a deep-rooted respect for her. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
PERSONALITY
╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯While Avgrunnen looks strict and intimidating, due mostly to her massive size, clan members know her for her kindness. Many say she can be quite motherly, and she’s often seen doting on Sekiei. But no matter how much she loves everyone in her clan, internal conflicts inevitably happen, or an emergency arises. In those times she appears calm, but anyone that hears her voice can tell that she’s being commanding, stepping in with the intention of restoring peace in her clan. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
EARLY YEARS
╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯Avgrunnen lost her parents, or rather, her parents lost her when flying over the North Sea to reach The Viridian Labyrinth. A harsh thunderstorm disoriented the parents so that the hatchling fell into the sea and sank down to the bottom. It was only thanks to her qualities as a Guardian Dragon that she didn’t drown. Too weak to swim back up to the surface, Avgrunnen wandered the bottom of the ocean, unknowingly arriving to the Kelp Beds, where she met Tamil, a Maren that took pity on the young dragon and decided to take her under her wing. Avgrunnen was taught how to hunt and fend for herself, but as the years went by, the dragon wanted to return back to The Tangled Wood. Tamil knew she couldn’t keep her forever, as only dragons of the Water element feel truly comfortable living underwater. Saying their goodbyes at the shore near the Foxfire Bramble, Avgrunnen disappeared in the shadows to find her luck. While she was fond of Tamil, Avgrunnen knew she couldn’t go back to live with her under the sea. The vastness of the ocean made her uneasy, she always felt like she was out of her element. Weeks passed painstakingly, but the dragon managed to live by herself. One fateful night, as she was resting in a hearth that she dug in the bramble bushes, she was woken by Sekiei, a beautiful dragon from a rich family who was looking for a place to hide from them. What may have been an act of kindness eventually led to the two dragons taking a liking to each other and starting their own journey together, as a newly-formed two member clan. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮

Presently, Avgrunnen spends a lot of time in the clan’s lair. Even though she’s the leader, she rarely goes out to hunt as she’s usually busy with running the clan. While they may have separated, Avgrunnen and Tamil kept a strong bond over the years, and Avgrunnen sometimes returns to sea to visit the Maren that raised her. |

Her hoard consists of all kinds of shiny purple gemstones. She collects them as they remind her of Sekiei. She has carved a silhouette of what seems to be a Spiral dragon into the wall near her hoard, and has stuck the smaller gemstones in it, creating a beautiful image of her significant other. |

A Day in The Life

Avgrunnen usually wakes up earlier than everyone else, and runs some chores around the lair, waiting until Sekiei (who finds sleeping coiled around one of Avgrunnen’s horns to be the most comfortable sleeping spot) also wakes up and inevitably distracts the Guardian dragon for the rest of the day. But not all days pass that way, as Sekiei is one of the assigned hunters of the clan. In those cases when the Spiral dragon is away from the lair, Avgrunnen often finds herself in the pleasant company of Jasujeong, the Spiral’s brother. On rare occasions, she may also leave the lair by herself and fly away, heading to the North Sea, eager to see Tamil after a long time apart. |
