Personality

Kaless is a large, bulky blue snapper with bright blue eyes. He is often adorned in spiky steel plated armor from head to toe with a glowing symbol of the Lightning Flight glowing on his forehead. Under his armor are various battle scars along his legs and flank from the many battles he has partaken in. Kaless is a naturally skilled warrior and protective of his clan.

For his many won battles and shear strength, Kaless leads the sect of the Ocean Lotus Reef known as the Ocean Lotus Vanguard. Despite being a great warrior, he is known to be honorable and show humility. He does not believe in any form of torture and will never partake in dishonorable combat. Those that do in the name of the Ocean Lotus Vanguard will either be removed on dishonorable discharge or executed, depending on the crime committed.

While leading the vanguard, he also leas the clan with his mate, Jetfyre, for a decent amount of time. However, since Jetfyre stepped down, he too stepped down from leader status to focus more on training new recruits to the Vanguard.

Background

Kaless was born within the Lightning Flight to Balthasar, a snapper, and Sindarin, a ridgeback. While in appearance he took after his father, his personality stemmed more from his mother, whom was a skilled fighter. As such, he was taught to defend himself at a very young age. As per customs in Sornieth, Kaless was put up for adoption when he was old enough and was adopted by the Clan of the Eternal Eye within the Arcane Flight.

Growing up on the Starfall Isles, he learned to better defend himself against magical abilities. He became known as Kaless the Unmovable Mountain. Joining their forces within the clan, Kaless was a formidable foe for anyone that dared to threaten his home. During this time, he met a peaceful yet powerful druid named Jetfyre and became smitten. Luckily for him, his kindness and gentle nature when not in combat won over the beautiful skydancer and they became consorts.

After some clans were dishonorable and hostile in the Arcane Flight, Kaless was beside his beloved, keeping the clan safe while Jetfyre lead the clan to safety within the Viridian Labyrinth. For the first time, Kaless was face to face with a deity, the Gladekeeper, as Jetfyre asked for sanctuary. Moved by the Gladekeeper's protective yet gentle nature, Kaless vowed to become even stronger to keep not only the clan safe, but the Nature Flight as well.

Arriving in the lush meadow Jetfyre lead them to, Jetfyre was appointed leader of the clan, now called the Flowerfell Coven. Kaless was appointed the new leader of the Flowerfell Vanguard. Kaless took this role with pride. He continues to train those who wish to join the guard and while he's not too keen on them, he does work with and respect the other sect known as the Nightshade, a sect that often houses assassins and those more gifted with stealth.

After Jetfyre's training was complete within a years time, the winds began calling the clan to a new land. Some were eager to follow the breeze while others wished to continue serving the Shadowbinder. Choosing the follow with his beloved, Kaless found himself in the Windswept Plateau. Redubbed the Windflower Coven, the clan has adapted to the new region and expanded exponentially as they settled in.

Wanderlust was grasping at the clan and Kaless was growing worried for his mate. He saw the burden of leadership taking its toll on her and encouraged her to follow Gojira's advice. He stayed behind despite desperately wishing to comfort and help her. No, she needed to make this journey on her own. While she was away, he watched as Gojira, one of his newest soldiers, took command in the meantime, but confided in Kaless on any major decisions. It impressed him to say the least.

When his consort returned, he greeted her eagerly and stood by her side as she called for a clan meeting. Announcing she was stepping down, he too followed as well and supported Gojira becoming the new leader. Moving to the Sea of a Thousand Currents was an interesting choice, but regardless, a soldier adapts to their surroundings.
