Rework in Progress
I majorly redesigned Nightshade as a character so most of her lore will be rewritten and transferred to her new dragon! This dragon will still stay as she is very important to me, but I have to figure out whether I want to rework her lore as a new dragon or keep her as an archive of what Nightshade used to me. Thank you!
Nightshade, while a kind dragon, tends to stay by herself, only occasionally interacting with other dragons. However, there are a few she seems comfortable around, and she’s more than happy to be with them. Around strangers, she seems to prefer to keep her distance, both physically and emotionally.
Because of this, some say she’s hiding something. Nobody’s quite sure what, but asking around can easily get you involved in a number of theories, ranging from “that’s just how she is” all the way to “she’s a spy for the Shade.”
Her close friends don’t seem to think any of these theories are true. Nightshade herself, however, does get rather nervous hearing some theories about her. Any dragon would react poorly to being called a spy for the Shade, but rather than seeming insulted by such claims or scared of having been found out, she seems.. apologetic?
Nightshade seems to have had a dark past, as she’s constantly trying to make up for some unknown wrongdoing, and she frequently worries that she’s the same as she used to be. She also seems like she wants to tell everyone something, but she never does.
Nightshade excels at magic, and uses it whenever she can. She mostly just uses her magic to move things around easily or summon objects, but she’s capable of much more than that. This becomes apparent if her friends or family are ever threatened, though surprisingly not if she is threatened.

She looks like the queen of a crystal kingdom. She looks like maybe she has magical powers, she can heal but also dish out damage. Very pretty, but also a very dangerous foe, should you anger her. She looks like she knows exactly what she is doing and when she is doing it, like I would totally believe that she has a 20-year-plan!

She seems regal, queenly, a bit Fey. Probably not to be trusted, but you can't help hanging on her every word anyways. Probably very strong magically.

Nightshade, to me, reads as royalty, maybe even some kind of queen. Very elegant and regal. Takes her queenly/royal duties very seriously. She's quite powerful looking too. I can imagine no one really likes to mess with her or get on her bad side.
