______ Royal's eye for rare and beautiful objects have landed her the position of bartering for and purchasing most of the lair's goods at the Cloudsong Trade Fairs. While she is a tough customer when it comes to getting the lair what they need she is prone to impulse buying of artifacts she likes without thinking about how useful they are. More often than not these strange finds end up in her personal horde. She appreciates the beauty in even simple and broken objects over any practical applications. Royal keeps personal watch over the Lair's combined hoard, keeping meticulous tabs on the level of food and hoarded goods. As a Lightning Flight dragon she is used to calculating the necessities of life and her photographic memory and head for numbers more than make up for her eccentricities. Her transmuted treasure familiar Loot can often be seen by her side, keeping an eye on things for her. It is prone to nestling among the goods to startle the unwary when they try to open the chest.

______ Royal also has the responsibility of valuing the left-over goods found by Gathering and dividing them into general sale and auction house prices. With care she calculates the rarity and unit price of all kinds of materials and arranges their sales. With a characteristic love for gossip she keeps one ear to the ground, always listening for word of a new Swipp's trading offer or reagent recipe at Baldwin's cauldron. Her love for golden jewelry has endeared her to Oracle who often 'borrows' her favorite trade goods for a discounted fee, in exchange the Ridgeback is allowed first pick of the trinkets Royal picks up for her own use. This friendship with the Converted Meteorologist is of great benefit to the Pearlcatcher; any Shifting Expanse dragon worth their wages can turn a profit from accurate weather prediction data. Royal's skin even glows with golden scale over her purple hide, the spiderwebbing patterns seemingly growing by the year to consume more and more of her wings.
