Quick, agile, and not without strength. His tactics focus on distraction and misdirection.

Raised by an infamous privateer-turned-pirate, Captain Veilsong is a corsair captain of royal blood, quick wit, and a sharp tongue. Though bearing a soft voice, he speaks in harsh tongue and is known to be stern, sharp, and brisk. Many find his language off-putting, although for the most part he's a rather agreeable sort.

He loves to eat and he loves the drink, indulging in plenty and not at all stingy when sharing with others. While sly and opportunistic, he gives generously to his crew and the less fortunate, and has incredible softness for hatchlings. The crew of the Vengeful Requiem eat well, drink well, and sleep well-- for the most part.

Little Prince

____The prince was born to an unlikely pair, amidst strife between clans at war. His true parents' bond transcended flight and caste alike, and he was the ultimate symbol of their love. Defiant of the will of his own clan, his father struck out towards the sea with his egg clutched near. The prince's first breath was full of salt spray, the breaking of waves and gulls in his ears, and from birth he was wed to the sea.

____Born faint of health, he spent most his early days below-deck on his father's ship o' the line, but as he he grew older and stronger the captain conditioned him to come into his own as worthy seadragon by his own right. As an adult, he would match his father formidably as a fellow captain, swordsman, and musician alike. Though as the captain would lament, he maintained his mother's wit and energy.

____Captain Veilsong is associated with a holiday for which his lineage haunts. The Darkfall Festival is his time of awakening, when he and his father set out to bring treats to hatchlings while taking offerings from adults in tithe to spare their merchants from harassment.

Dualscar

____The prince's true father, and Captain of the Leviathan. The old Guardian looks gruff and salty as any other war-torn veteran of sea and sky strife, but he has a tender heart for the unfortunate young and a sweet tooth to envy them all. He was once part of a war between two major clans, but laid down his weapons and turned his back on his own clan to be with a nomadic Skydancer bent on ending the war. He and Ruka fell in love despite their differences, and together they used that love to create him.

Ruka

____Born wild and free, the Skydancer Ruka was a near-feral dragon with a keen eye for archery and agile body for swift close combat. He is a wandering nomad with no clan. He once fought in a great war that divided two major clans, and with a member of one of those clans he bore an heir; the Prince. He passed down his springy agility and flurrying skirmishing moves to his son, as well as his cheeky attitude and tenderness for nature and that which lived in it.

Zuuben

____The captain's first mate, friend, and surrogate mother. She first served aboard the Leviathan under Dualscar, then continued serving as the young Ampora came of age and claimed colors and crew of his own. As his own mother was largely absent in his life, Zuuben filled that role, grooming Eridan into a fine seadragon. She is stern and straight-faced, though not without humor or a sense of light-heartedness, knowing there is a time for both. She is a cat enthusiast and owns a couple that mouse the hold.

Kairon

____The crew's physician and medic-- philosopher and scientist. Kairon is a moody Pearlcatcher with a sharp glare and sharper tongue, often scrutinizing the crew and the activities upon the quarterdeck. Like his mate Zuuben, he stepped in to raise Eridan in his mothers' absence, instilling a fascination for science and medical nuance in the young Skydancer. Much to Zuuben's chagrin, he's allergic to cats, and has little to no sealegs to speak for.

_____The Captain walks with a limp, using his sword and scabbard for support. Despite physical disability, he's extremely formidable in combat and will use people's under-estimation to his extreme end. Be warned.

_____There's something strange about this shell. The Captain keeps it guarded day and night, and no one but Zuuben is allowed to touch it. Some-times you can hear a mer-maid's call echo through it.

_____Any good wayfind-er's going to have some way of charting their course, and a real sailor will tell you the best map there is ain't on paper. With a special spyglass, the Captain has a heading to anywhere he might go.
