More art on the way, but here is her lore made by Quiller

"I awoke to the smoke first, the acrid odor stinging my nose. The home is burning, the ceiling is falling... is my family alright? Will they be okay?"

She scrambled to get up and find her family. Her people couldn't be harmed in the fire, she couldn't let it happen. It was her duty to protect. Galaxy yipped excitedly as she found her way to the bedrooms, trying her best to sniff the ground as ashes began to rain from the ceiling. The smoke was making her vision useless, and her nose was quickly following. She spotted movement by the door, Mother was leaving and she seemed in good health.

Galaxy watched him leave with Mother, guiding her outdoors with a protective trot.

She moved to the crates where the other dogs had already resigned their fates. Galaxy yipped and whimpered, begging them to leave their kennels and get out of the house. She couldn't leave them here, they were family. She rounded a cage, poking the dog with her nose, and clawing at the walls in an attempt to frighten them out of their cage. The dog wasn't budging.

She barked in frustration and lept to the next crate, repeating her actions in a desperate attempt to uproot the dogs and get them to go outside. Smoke crawled up her throat as her breathing became hoarse. Her voice was only getting worse, and it was getting harder to speak.

She sank down on her haunches to avoid the poisoned air and looked to the next crate. She couldn't let him stay here, his human would be devastated. She whimpered at the entrance of his crate, looking to him with large begging eyes. *Please, go, even if it’s not for me, do it for your girl.*

He perked his ears toward her, seeming to understand her through her body language. Galaxy was right, he still had a child to protect. He gasped one more large breath before he fought with what consciousness he had left to get to the door. With a rattling cough, he threw himself towards the door, making it about half way across the front room before he tried to take another breath and struggled forward some more. With a coughing sigh he fell to his feet at the entrance of the room and fell asleep, his anxieties and desperations leaving him. He found peace.

Galaxy looked on with a calm in her eyes, he had made it through the initial blanket of smoke. But Galaxy knew that she was on the end of her rope. She approached her own kennel, and curled into her bed. She had tried her best, and her people would be proud. Mother was out, her children were safe, and now it was time to rest, and maybe get some strength back before she tried to leave. She took another deep breath, and found that it felt like sleep was coming much faster than she had expected, she sighed and closed her eyes, letting the blackness overtake her.

Galaxy awoke to nothingness. Everything was black, oh wait... there's a star... and another one. She squinted and saw what seemed to be the night sky. A vast space full of beauty, and there was her home. A small ball of blues and greens. She felt pride swell in her chest as she drifted towards her home. She wanted to make sure that her family was alright after all.

She drifted to the streets outside her smoldering home. Flashing lights and sirens were wailing, but no one was hurt. Her humans anxiously wandered the property outside, shouting the pup's name, looking in bushes and wandering the streets. There were no signs of his whereabouts. Galaxy touched down on the ground and drifted around the house with a curious calm about her. The pup couldn't have gone far.

After about thirty minutes of wandering and shouting, there was a pregnant silence followed by anxious grieving cries. Galaxy flew to the noise, observing the scene. Her humans were choking on their grief as other humans exited the home, a body in their hands. *He hadn't made it.*

-

The smoke was rising in a stark tower against the blue sky, Galaxy could hear the panicked yips and whines coming from the crumbling building. It was time that she proved that she took her vow seriously. It took her barely a moment to drop to the ground and trot into the burning house, smelling the fear rolling off of the pup.

She bowed her head to see under the cloud of smoke and the collapsing building. Galaxy could see the pup crouching to hug the floor, a whine crawling out of her throat.

Galaxy lept to her, giving ethereal nudges through the smoke and smoldering furniture. When the pup proved stubborn and still fearful, Galaxy closed her eyes with a silent wish. She needed something to calm this pup, to help her through. And it wasn't until the pup began moving that she opened her eyes and spotted a familiar pelt on the other side.

Ease washed over her as her and the familiar dog began nudging the frightened dog to the nearest exit they could find.

For the first time in a while, it seemed that the day would be saved. The strange scared pup made it out of the house alive, and the pair of rescuers turned to each other to give acknowledging nods of appreciation. It was all at once that Galaxy felt that she should refer to him as Bam Bam... it seemed fitting comforting.

Much to Galaxy's surprise, Bam Bam stayed by her side, and the pair continued to prevent the deaths of many dogs, coaxing them out of kennels, leading them to safer pastures. It was their true calling, and the one thing they could manage now that they were no longer restricted by worldly rules and regulations.
