Primus

"I have seen clans rise and fall. I have fought against all of the horrors that the Shade can muster. I have watched generations pass. And I have never seen anything like this."

Primus is old. Very, very old. He was not among the first group of Gaolers to be conjured into being by the Icewarden, but he was among the second. Many of those created alongside him have since perished in the neverending battle against the Shade. Few dragons can claim to have seen as much time pass as Primus has.

In his youth, Primus was a Seeker, who travelled across ancient Sornieth to hunt down and capture the monsters of the Shade. When the Gaolers retreated into isolation, he became an Overseer, and trained many younger dragons in the art of containing and caging. Secretly, Primus longed for the sky. He yearned for his days beneath the sun, and wished for nothing more than to feel the wind in his mane once more. Over centuries, he buried these dreams, knowing that he would likely not live long enough for that.

But he did.

When the Order of Seekers was reformed, Primus jumped at the chance to leave the prisons and travel out into the world again. He and a small unit set out to the Starfall Isles, where a strange anomaly was causing trouble. Primus was shocked to find that a settlement had been set up around the anomaly. He marvelled at the young races' foolishness. To live by such a thing! To accept its presence in their lives! Had the gods forgotten to include sense in their new creations?

And yet, they seemed to be doing fairly well. Their technology and magic had the anomaly contained, more or less. Primus decided that the best course of action was for him and his team to cooperate with the locals. Together, they could contain and perhaps even shut down the anomaly.

Primus is not a member of the Nebula Woods Clan, but he is an affilate. His age leaves him often tired, and he prefers to stay close to home. He's starting to make friends with the other dragons in the area, though. He's struck up a particular bond with Ridgeway, his fellow elder (albeit in a very different way).


Notes:

• Primus likes kids, and frequently helps babysit when Jewelsin and Amethyst need a break.
• He was pretty stunned to find out that there were still Banescales around.
• Due to his age, Primus has issues with joint pain.
