Niffler
Energetic - Happy-Go-Lucky - Bright As the Sun
The shining star guiding the way for those lost.

Often, when you are highly sought, you begin to wonder what it would be like not to be chased, but to chase others. Niffler knew he was a highly sought dragon, but he wasn't sure why. He never ran, but accepted his position. After awhile though, he began to think of how he could spend his time, how he could make his life and the lives of those around him better.

It was then that he encountered the monster. Niffler snuck onto a boat headed out to battle, hiding in one of the barrels that was supposed to contain star dust. When the lid was lifted, he shot out. The star dust had coated his entire body, making him glow as brightly as the sun. It painted a stripe along his body, making him even faster than other Spirals. As the pirates tried to catch him, he evaded, but froze mid dive when a tentacle came out of the water. He shot out of the way as it crashed down onto the bow of the ship, sending the wooden beast to the dark briny deep. As he floated above where the wreck had been, he noticed the dragons struggling to get out of the water, their wings sodden with the salty liquid.

He had to get help! Shooting off into the sky, Niffler made it back to the clan within seconds. The star dust had made him incredibly fast! Quickly he went to the leaders and told them about the accident. The clan rushed out to help the dragons that were struggling against the monster in the deep.

Niffler ran a rope out to each dragon, the only one fast and small enough to dodge the waving tentacles. Each dragon was pulled away from the creature by the ropes, dragged back to shore and back to safety. It was then, on the shore, that the captain turned on Niffler, lecturing the young hatchling about safety and stowing away on ships.

However, as he ended his lecture, the captain quickly wrapped his wings around Niffler's body and squished him close, tears running down his face. He thanked Niffler for helping save them. Because of the little hatchling's tenacity and quick wit, the captain and all the others aboard would live to see their families again.

From that moment on, Niffler became a beacon, shining in the night sky. The star dust that coated his body never left - perhaps because of the Arcane influence. It made him a star in his own rights, and he used his speed, his grace and his clever wit to save others around Sornieth.
