Tsuki
The Imperial was sighted far out across Windstar Bay, heading towards the Lair, when the watchers called the alarm. The Lair watch prepared to receive him, among them Tsuki, who was the designated messenger that day. She watched him fly in and thought he looked tired, the way his wings swept up with a bit of tremor. How far had he flown? Was something wrong over in Arcane across the Bay? Was there a battle brewing over some strange misunderstanding, again? Tsuki smiled at the thought of meeting the visitor, and hoped something exciting would happen! She almost missed Siltaria's summons. When she got to Siltaria, the Imperial Visitor was next to her. The moment Tsuki looked into his eyes, her stomach felt wobbly and she stopped breathing. Time stood still. A sudden puff of breeze made her blink. "Tsuki, are you okay?" Siltaria asked with some concern. "I-I think so...." Tsuki wondered if she'd eaten a bad fish. "Well, shake it off, we need you to help our visitor and his familiar to the guest rooms. He's come a long way traveling, so we can give him a few days rest and a good meal or two before he goes on his way. Meet Kurokku. He's blind, but his Familiar helps him around. Kurokku, meet Tsuki, she's one of our night messengers here. Perhaps the two of you can discuss your travels?" "Nice to meet you, Tsuki. I would indeed love to hear about the places you have been and the local Lairs that might welcome a traveler like me." Kurokku's voice was deep and breathy like the deepest wind chimes that vibrated all the way to the furthest rooms in the Lair. Her stomach fluttered. Get a hold of yourself, and at least be polite, Tsuki told herself. Shake it off! "Hello, Kurokku. I would love to tell you about the area. Shall I show you around the Lair?" |
