MoonWeaver

I grew up in a place called ****. It's in Nature Flight if you didn't know. As a hatchling, I've always been an outcast. I think it's because of my dark colors. All the other Nature hatchlings think I'm an assassin from Shadow Flight or something. I don't see what's so bad about Shadow Flight! They're all so nice to me. (Maybe they thought I was a kidnapped hatchling?) My parents never neglected me though. They always treated me like the best dragon in the world! I guess they want me to be different. That might explain my name, which sounds like a Shadow Dragon name, MoonWeaver.

I still remember the day when my parents disappeared. I never really noticed until late at night. I asked around and they told me they were exalted! I was devastated! I had no choice but to sleep. A few hours after I fell asleep, someone woke me up "Moony! Wake up, dear! We came to rescue you." Moony? Who else calls me Moony? "Mama?" It must be her! I doubt anyone even knows my name. "Yes, and Papa! Come with us, quietly though." I did as they said. I've never been out of my lair at night. It was beautiful! The smell of plants mixed with the fragrance of the night. I looked at the flowers beaming at me from under the moonlight. "Come on Moon. Time to say goodbye. We're moving to a new home." Mother must've been crazy! Didn't she know we would get banished if we got caught running away?! Well, I trusted her judgment and followed without a word.

We flew, and flew, and flew until it felt like my wings would fall off! Mother told me it would build up my muscles! By the time I felt that even my tail would fall off Mother and Father had slowed. They were whispering about an Octoflyer holding a shadow nest with 3 eggs in it! Something about its eyes scared me. They were so pink. And so ambitious. Mother and Father told me to find a tree and rest, and then swooped down to battle! They were severely injured when they came back, but they succeeded! Together, we went to turn in the nest to some patrol dragons passing by. Of course, they made us go to with them to see "the superior judges" or something. That nest was a very wealthy and honored family's first nest and they were delighted to have them back. They asked why three Nature dragons were lurking around shadow territory. My parents explained. They spoke quietly for a little and said that they would allow my family to live at the FoxFire Brambles, in one of their spare lairs. It was great! I was accepted immediately! I felt so welcome and had so many friends! I love Shadow Flight.

After about a week of settling into my new home, I was confronted by a group of huge dragons. They told me that I ruined the "purity of shadow flight". And looked like they were gonna kill me. So, out of instinct, I attacked. I'm not going to give details, but I can tell you, there was a lot of blood. Not mine, theirs. Of course, I did get in trouble, but it ended pretty well. They told me I had a lot of potentials. Then they sent me to the Focal Point for some training! It was awesome! I saw (and defeated) so many Octoflyers! It felt good! Soon I hit level 25; Now no one will mess with me!

After I got back, I was the most talented fighter ever! I could grind the Coli just for fun and earn tons of loot! I was more popular than ever. I helped train more dragons, but I couldn't make friends with them since most of then get exalted. The plus side to exalting is that Shadow Flight was dominating!! We had this huge celebration at the DriftWood Drag. It wasn't too bad, but it became boring really fast. So I left and went exploring along the Arcane/Shadow border. It was great! But then I heard something. Like a hatchling running around. I decided to hide on top of a dead tree. - Then I saw him. He was an Imperial, male I guessed. Looked nice, dark body and wings, with bright pink Filigree - Either I'm good at hiding in dead trees or hatchlings are just oblivious, he never noticed me. He was very small, possibly only about two months old. A bit too young to be exploring the borders late at night. And maybe some mental problems? Because he just kinda sat there and stared at the celebrating dragons.

He was an odd one, seems to be an outcast too. I don't know why though. He fits in with Hus fight (Arcane) and looks half decent. "Hi! I'm Joikila! Wanna be friends?" What? Who said that? I turn to see a female Imperial looking at me curiously. I agreed to her request for friendship and left. We had lots of fun together, sneaking out at night and making faces across the border! She later informed me that her newly assigned mate wanted to meet shadow flight dragons! I was excited, a friend of Joikila's was a friend of mine!

One foggy night, I snuck out to meet Joikila's, new mate. We met at the border and she warned me that her mate was a bit jumpy and antisocial. Doesn't sound too bad right? Well, she brought me to the dead tree (Where I saw the little hatchling; I still feel kinda bad for not saying hi) and I see two eyes looking at me. They looked vaguely familiar. While I was trying to figure out where I'd seen those eyes, that stupid little thing attacked me! Instinct told me to fight back! So I did. That's when I remembered where I saw these eyes. It was Octoflyer! The one that took a Shadow Flight nest! I was kinda grateful considering I never would've been in Shadow Flight without him. So I just pretend fought. The fight finished pretty quickly. It didn't hurt very much and, not to be mean... But he was a bit weak. I mean, I barely even touched him! I only hit him lightly with my wing! Well, being the kind and merciful dragon I was, I apologized, even though it wasn't my fault.

I learned a little more about him. The dragon I thought was an Octoflyer, also the hatchling I saw at the dead tree? Yeah, him. His name is SoulThief and he gets bullied because all the other dragons are afraid of him since he looks like a Shadow Flight dragon. Well, we hung out a few times. He seemed nice. Considering how I felt bad about hurting him, I helped him train in the Coli. He managed to hit level 7 which was pretty nice.

We were constantly sneaking out of our lairs to hang out, it was really fun! Soon we were the best of friends! Of course, we hung out with just the two of us, no Joikila.

One of my favorite nights was when we wrestled by the dead tree. He was pretty strong and I didn't have to worry about hurting him. It was quite a workout! I was super sweaty. Afterward, we flew to the Behemoth. It was amazing! I was home again. Then I noticed him staring at me with this super dazed look on his face. It was odd. Then it occurred to me that I looked too comfortable here. I decided to tell him the truth about my element. He seemed to understand. My eyelids got droopy as I explained. I fell asleep very quickly. "Moon? I love you" What? Who said that? I must be dreaming.

I'm not sure how much we slept, but it was a lot! We woke to the sunlight warming our scales, the good didn't last for long. We both realized that if we didn't leave soon we'd be captured by a Nature patrol. For most of the way, we flew together. We were never spotted, or maybe we were, and they just didn't care. Luckily he made it the Focal Point and I made it to FoxFire Brambles.

It's been about 7 months since Soulie and I met; 6 since he was assigned Joikila as a mate. They should have a few hatchlings by now. Odd enough, he still wants to hang out. I mean, shouldn't he be taking care of his hatchlings and mate? Oh well!

He was already there, waiting. He was also holding a purple box! Was that for me? I swoop down and land. He tells me that inside the box was a gift. A gift for me! There was a Ghost Flame Cloak in it! It was so purple! I loved it. He told me that he loved me, and it confused me as he already had a mate. They were too closely related to breed and she got assigned to some other Imperial.

He managed to convince his elders to let him move to Shadow Flight. They were reluctant, but they agreed! We had a ceremony and now our love for each other will no longer have to be secret. The good part is, he fits in so well with the other Shadow Flight dragons! Everyone likes him. I'm sure a hatchling or two have a thing for him. Sucks for them 'cause he's taken.

Epilogue

Life's great, Soulie and I are very happy together. We had a nest of 5! They haven't hatched yet, they'll hatch in 5 more days. I hope for them all to be Nocturnes! I've made many new friends, most of whom are from different flights. I met the majority of my Arcane Friends from the lair of someone who's name was MoonCatcher333 or something? I am not a fan of her name. I admit, it kinda scared me at first. I found myself a decent human too! She's real nice and let's Soulie and I go everywhere together. As a reward for my human, I help train some exalt dragons. Most of them are excited to go and work for ShadowBinder, but there are a few who want to stay with human. So I helped convince human to keep them! I can be very persuasive.
