Rosen

He and Azira should have left. They should have left, but they hadn't and now his mate was just another of many who had disappeared. He had never been the praying sort, but he prayed now that the beautiful soft skydancer he had fallen in love with had simply left; the alternative left him feeling sick.

It was a small mercy that he had passed muster, but it wouldn't be for long. Loyalists to the old leaders were killed or exiled; their numbers already reduced to half. Their matriarch brought down under an onslaught. Who could have known that Mintaka would turn their leader-in-training against them. Who could have known...

He could have known, had he just paid more attention. If he had just been a little more curious, maybe the dragons who had taken so many under their wing would still be alive. If he had just been a little more attentive to what Glorin had been talking about, maybe he and his mate could have left before the going got bad.

He kept shoving his possessions into a small pack; spools upon spools of ribbon and provisions. He was gifted at telling people what they wanted to hear, but it wouldn't be long now before his loyalties were laid bare.

He needed to leave.

Apon entrance to the Shadelen Clan Rosen has befriended a rather playful Parda named Core.
Welcomed with open arms by all but the Mother, though even she seems to like him. Rosen has come into company of Morrie, a gentle Skydancer from the Arcane flight.
"I am not made for the shadows, not in the slightest. It was come here to a clan trusted by Apira or go into an uncertain future."

Rosen will make his way in this clan just fine.
