Felis is an adventurous soul. She's ventured miles of woods, tundra and mountain ranges. She feels at home in forested areas, being one with nature. She is a Beastclan ally, with many friends in various tribes around Sornieth.

Leading a life of lone exploration, Felis was displeased when a poisonous snake struck her and left her requiring medical help. She'd sauntered into Starcluster village, uncomfortably and reluctantly asking if there were any medics who could assist her. Nadia and her team were happy to take her in, but sadly, damage had already been done to her body.

Felis' snake bite left her too weak to move for weeks, and she became very ill. As she recovered, her immobility atrophied her once strong muscles. She would never get to that former strength again. Her stamina, vision and coordination were greatly impaired. Nadia informed her that this would be permanent, and offered her a place in the clan so she wouldn't have to struggle on her own. Felis agreed, but her wild heart was broken.

Now Felis spends her time in the wooded areas around the village. She hunts for the clan very well despite her deficits. She'll also scavenge for bones and skulls-- which she collects. She feels fulfilled here, and enjoys the permanence of her living situation and the security of always having her needs met. She'll come aboard The Wanderer on occasion to visit her brother and her many Beastclan friends, as well. Slowly, she's adjusting and feeling happier again. She's made herself a den in the forest and sleeps alone. She is a lone dragon with a strong soul reminiscent of ancient big cats.

"Dinofelis is a genus of sabre-toothed cats (Felinae) belonging to the tribe Metailurini. They were widespread in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America at least 5 million to about 1.2 million years ago (Early Pliocene to Early Pleistocene).

In size they were between a modern leopard and a lion, most being about the size of a jaguar (70 cm tall and up to 120 kg), medium-sized but powerful cats that possessed two prominent sabre teeth.

The front limbs were particularly robust compared to the modern cats (even the jaguar). This stout body may implicate a preference for dense or mixed habitats although it may also have been similar to the extant jaguar with its range from forest to open range including wetland.

It is thought that the gradual disappearance of the forests in which Dinofelis hunted may have contributed to its extinction at the start of the ice age."
