B I O G R A P H Y

A keen mind and a competent fighter lie behind his small form. A level head in the most turbulent situations, Ryuda is key to keeping peace in the clan. Without him Caleili's more extreme personality would rule and violence would be the quicker response to many an argument.

A wandering nature fae, Ryuda first met his mate Caleili when he stumbled across her hollowing out a den. Falling head over tail for the then small guardian he courted her successfully and they had three hatchlings in their first clutch alone. Unfortunately she continued to grow while he did not. Though he is still totally dedicated to his mate and their growing clan, Ryuda secretly prays to the Gladekeeper for that rarest of gifts, the ability to change his form.

Like his mate, his centuries of life have led to a blossoming of natural power. The plants and trees now bend to his will, allowing Ryuda and his mate to shape the home of their clan. As a mark of this power, twisted antlers of living wood have grown from his skull. Each morning the frilled edges of his wings drip with golden nectar, leaking from the flowers that bloom on his wings. Wherever he goes the calming scent of wildflowers follows, as does the odd shower of petals.

With the awakening of the Earthshaker's newest children dragons across Sornieth have seen both spontaneous and deliberate transformations into this burly protective breed. At long last this tiny clan founder has achieved a form able to match his mate's guardian strength and protective instincts.

When the change came upon him it started slowly. An itch under his scales, an ache in his bones. Lethargy, mental fog and a fever made all the clan fear the end was aproaching the elder fae. His mate would not leave his side for though the clan was her charge, he was her constant, her companion through the centuries. Through weeks of careful nursing and violent fits of magic the whole clan waited and worried, most unaware of what miracle was truly happening...
