"We'll be friends forever, won't we?"

Badru was the forth and final god ever created by the Spirits. When he entered the world the Spirits immediately forgot about him, but luckily for the young boy, he had three older children to look after him. He was welcomed and loved by Virtuous, Ludicrous, and Sadzi. They became his older siblings, his family.

The Spirits may have ignored them, but the young gods had found happiness with each other.

They liked to play games in which they pretended they had the power of the Spirits; Creation.

Badru wanted to create a world where no child went unloved. A world where they had someone to love them, just like he did.

He believed everyone deserved to receive the warmth of love, no matter who they were.

"Just the four of us,"

But then the demon began to hunt them.

He wanted Virtuous. He wanted Virtuous all to himself.

So he attacked her friends. He attacked her family.

Virtuous was the first god to feel pain and fear, but Badru was the first god to die.

The demon took him. Badru, only a young boy of about twelve was slaughtered like a lamb in front of his friends.

No creature before him had felt Death before. No creature had known what Death was until little Badru had died a brutal, painful death.

His immortal blood allowed him to come back to life.

But he was never the same.

He had learned that day, that if you didn't want to be the lamb.

You needed to become the wolf.

"We will be kings and queens, we will rule this world together,"

After the terrifying day that the Spirits died had passed, and the gods absorbed their power, the four of them talked of making their fantasies come to life.

They would create a new world. A world where the four of them would share and control. They would be kings and queens at last.

Virtuous created a planet called the Earth. This would be where Life would live, mortals who they could watch over. Sadzi created the sun to keep the planet warm. Badru created the moon to shine light on darkened nights and to control the ocean’s tide and keep balance to the planet. And Ludicrous created the rest of the vast expanse known as Space.

They worked together, and it was peaceful. Other gods had sprung from the corpses of the Spirits, and the four welcomed them to the world.

Ludicrous and Virtuous invented marriage, and Sadzi and Badru copied them.

But even in these peaceful times Badru was numb. He claimed he loved his wife, Sadzi. He thought he loved her.

But the demon had long ago taken his ability to love.

What he felt was not love, but obsession.

Badru does not love Sadzi, he worships her.

"I'm so lucky,"

As Badru grew older, his heart only became colder.

Sadzi was jealous. She was jealous of Virtuous. She wished she had Virtuous’s power. She wished she was the Queen of the Gods.

Badru vowed that he would make his wife’s wishes come true. Sadzi’s happiness is what Badru lives for. He will do anything for her, because she is not just his wife. She is his goddess, she is his purpose.

Badru decided he would do whatever was in his power to kill Queen Virtuous, and give the throne to Sadzi.

The bitter rivalry between the four first gods begun.

No longer were they friends, but foes.

It was an endless struggle of power.

"I'm lucky to have a big brother, and a big sister,"

Even the children of the four got caught in the whirlwind of this feud.

Badru had a son, Zeamays and a daughter, Disconsolate. He was proud of them. He was proud to be a father.

But his heart of ice did not allow him to love them.

He pushed his children. He wanted to show Virtuous and Ludicrous that strong gods only produced strong offspring. Virtuous and Ludicrous proved too powerful for him to defeat alone. He wanted his children to become major gods and to help support him in the overthrowing of Virtuous.

Badru had succeeded and his children brought pride to his heart as they rose the ranks and became the tenth and eleventh major gods.

Badru had broken his children in his goal to give Sadzi what she wanted most.

"Big brother Ludicrous,"

Badru is a cold, strict man. He is not modest when it comes to displaying his influence and power.

If angered, he has no problem with revenge. He is not prey, but a predator.

He is no longer the lamb, but the wolf and he refuses to be slaughtered ever again.

He keeps tabs on his children. They may be broken, but they are still powerful, and he does not want that power to go to waste.

Even Naperone fears and respects Badru.

After Naperone broke Badru’s daughter’s heart, she became so distraught, so useless that she could no longer rule her queendom.

Badru could not allow this. He hunted down Naperone and tore out his heart. He gave it to his daughter, and she was able to rule her land again.

Now Naperone tries to avoid conflict with Badru the Great God of the Moon

Badru will prey on any god who speaks ill of him or his family, unless it is Virtuous and Ludicrous.

"Big sister Virtuous,"

Millions of years after Zeamays was born, Badru fathered two more sons. They were twins, the first ever god twins.

He had high expectations for them. Surely they must be special, and they must be powerful. Surely them being twins had to mean something.

He was disappointed to find that one of them were defected. He burned when he was around his mother. Gods do not burn from the sun. His eyesight was also inferior, he was not able to see without the invention of glasses.

This son also had wings. Gods were not meant to fly. Flight was for demons.

He was an embarrassment to Badru, and he felt disgusted to have to raise this defected child.

The other boy, however, he saw potential in him.

This child had an odd ability like his brother, he could drink blood. Immediately after birth he bit Sadzi and drank her blue blood.

Badru saw at once that this boy was a predator. He was perfect, and he groomed the boy for success.

He had learned from his mistakes when raising his two older children. He knew now how to push without breaking his son.

And so he pushed his child and trained him, while ignoring the other boy.

"And best friend Sadzi,"

Both twins were disappointments in the end.

He had entered them in the Death Games, he wanted one to become the God of Death. He expected the stronger one to win, the one he worked so hard to train, but he gave the other one a chance.

Instead the weaker brother, the winged one embarrassed Badru in front of all the gods.

He refused to fight, and he said that spilling god blood made them no better than the demons.

Badru made sure to let this son understand that his choice and his words were a mistake.

The stronger son was impressive at first. He had almost won, but Badru knew his son should have won. Not Virtuous's youngest child, Muerto.

He suspected Muerto cheated. It could be the only reason for his son losing.

Later when the stronger son communicated with a demon in order to overthrow Muerto, Badru had no choice but to disown this child as he son like he did with the other son.

Badru destroyed anything that tied the twins to him and Sadzi and he denies their existence. He refuses to consider them his sons, and he will attack anyone who says otherwise.

"Together forever,"

Badru can control dreams and often curses his enemies with nightmares and insomnia. He controls the tide, and occasionally when he's in a mood he enjoys flooding the land.

He likes to fence and finds it to be a proper sport. He finds canines to be noble creatures of both gods and mortals. He often takes his wolf pack on hunts. His favorite wolf is his Guardian the silver shewolf, Lauchna. He spoils her.

He also spoils his wife and is constantly showering her in gifts.
