Deep in the wilds, close to the running brooks, streams, and rivers that swarm with fireflies, a species of dragons dwell. There, in the damp shadows, the Forest and River Dragons (FaR) learn how to channel the special powers of the water within. Running water is healing, rejuvenating, and cleansing. Since these dragons are born into it, they’re among the luckiest of all kinds.

They are known to store river water in their bellies, beginning with the water from the river they were born in. As they grow older, they may store more and more of it, from different locales. No one knows if it’s the water or the special dragon, but the water within them has magical healing and luck properties.

Having one of these dragons in your clan is said to foretell prosperity — for as long as the rivers course through the Viridian Labyrinth. (Subspecies lore by Apfelobst, Halforq, and Kittymari)

Autumn Forest dragons slumber for winter, they are most active during their season: Autumn. They are often found near rivers, collecting leaves and tending to the trees as they ready for their winter slumber. They sleep for winter with the trees, forming protective rings around them.
