Within the Blizzard Nomads lives a small group of dragons known only as the Infected, plagued with a blight so unknown and mysterious that not even the most skilled and well-educated healers are able to cure it. There are various levels of infection, from mild to severe, with the most severe Infected not seeming to be dragon at all.

The first signs of a dragon becoming Infected are strange, bold lines decorating the dragon's body while later stages have shown loss of any other sorts of patterning that may have been present before the dragon had become Infected. For some reason or another, Infected dragons are typically dark-colored. The most severe of the Infected have no individuality whatsoever and have a hive mind with other Infected.

Originally having joined the Blizzard Nomads as a warrior, it didn't take long for it to become apparent that the dragon now known as Glitch had become Infected. It is not known how he managed to contract the virus, nor is it known how to combat it. Glitch is slowing being consumed by the virus.
