KIVA
what's with the arcane eyes and runes? don't worry about it. she doesn't...or rather, she doesn't even remember to.

The first memory Kiva has is waking up at the bottom of a frozen lake deep in a cave in the Southern Icefield. How long she had been down there or how she was even alive was a mystery to her. With what little strength she had in her, she managed to swim to the surface and break through the ice, climbing out into a cave that offered nothing in the way of answers, but did offer a friend: where she was was either abandoned or inhospitable, but a small Crimson Reef Snail seemed to be waiting for her as she made her exit. Figuring she was about to go on a journey that would find her mostly on her own, she decided to bring the snail along with her and the snail seemed more than content to join her.

She traveled for years through the Southern Icefields before flying off to the Windswept Plateau where she traveled for longer still before meeting a pair of lost dragons, Youko and Tarou. The three began traveling together, fending for themselves for a while (with Kiva taking the lead) before they eventually found Clan Guidance and were immediately taken in.

Though finally settled somewhere safely, Kiva still had interest in honing her battle skill, and through a few mutual contacts was eventually set up to travel to the Shifting Expanse for more structured training. Youko and Tarou, though less interested in fighting stuff, joined her in support. Now she serves as one of the main defenders of Clan Guidance, under Warden's leadership. More often than not, she serves as a very effective tank on the battlefield.

Kiva is a relatively easy-going (though sometimes forgetful) dragon, preferring to go with the flow whenever possible though isn't afraid to stand up or speak up for herself and others when necessary. She's incredibly protective of the things and dragons important to her, much like a Guardian would be towards their charge--which unfortunately she seems to no longer have. When waking under that lake, she didn't feel the pull to a charge as most guardians do, and that pull never came up during her travels. Instead, there is just an ever-present feeling that something important to her has been lost, and with her memories gone she may never know what it was that she lost in the first place. It hurts her to dwell on that feeling for too long, but at least the bonds she's made are enough to keep her afloat.

Strangely, the extra eyes on her are usually closed unless she's feeling especially protective.
